A system and method for translating data from a source language to a target language is provided wherein machine generated target translation of a source sentence is compared to a database of human generated target sentences. If a matching human generated target sentence is found, the human generated target sentence may be used instead of the machine generated sentence, since the human generated target sentence is more likely to be a well-formed sentence than the machine generated sentence. The system and method does not rely on a translation memory containing pairs of sentences in both source and target languages, and minimizes the reliance on a human translator to correct a translation generated by machine translation.

A portal for translating data is provided wherein users upload text to be translated. The text may be in the form of Web pages, in the form of hypertext mark-up language (HTML) files, or other formats. The portal at least partially translates the data and facilitates the selection of a vendor or vendors to complete the translation process. The portal makes use of a database containing previously completed translations, which database is utilized to at least partially translate new requests for translations, and thereby reduces the workload of the vendors selected to complete the process.

A voltage regulator apparatus includes an error amplifier that amplifies a voltage difference between a reference and a sampled output voltage of the voltage regulator apparatus. A driver amplifier has an input that is responsive to the amplified voltage difference to produce a gate driving voltage at its output. An output transistor having a drain, a gate, and a source is also included. The gate is responsive to the gate driving voltage to produce a regulated output voltage at the source. To stabilize the voltage regulator apparatus, a Miller compensation capacitor is provided to feed a sample of the regulated output voltage back to the input of the driver amplifier; and additionally, an Ahuja compensation circuit is provided to feed back a portion of the regulated output voltage back to the input of the driver amplifier.

The invention provides new urothelial cell specific transcriptional regulatory sequences derived from human uroplakin II (hUPII), as well as polynucleotide constructs such as adenoviral vectors and methods of using hUPII-derived TREs. Additionally, the invention provides adenoviral vectors comprising a gene, preferably an adenovirus gene, under transcriptional control of a urothelial cell-specific transcriptional regulatory element (TRE). These vectors display urothelial cell-specific cytotoxicity, which is especially useful in the context of bladder cancer, in which destruction of these cells is desirable. The invention further provides compositions and host cells comprising the vectors, as well as method of using the adenoviral vectors.
