A method for operating an electromotive drive train for a vehicle is disclose. The electromotive drive train has an electric machine for driving at least one wheel of the vehicle, a traction battery of the vehicle, which can be charged by the electric machine via recuperation, and a clutch device arranged between the electric machine and the at least one wheel. The method has the following steps: ascertaining a maximum permitted recuperation power of the electric machine to be fed into the traction battery by the electric machine during a braking procedure of the vehicle; and setting a slip state of the clutch device such that the recuperation power generated by the electric machine during the slip operation of the clutch device does not exceed the maximum permitted recuperation power.

Method for operating an electromotive drive train

A thermal management system having a battery and an electric motor, the temperature of both of which is to be controlled, wherein the electric motor is oil-cooled. The thermal management system has a monitoring system for monitoring an oil flow generated by an oil pump, in an oil cooling circuit including the electric motor. The monitoring system in this case has a first pressure sensor at a first point of the oil cooling circuit and a second pressure sensor at a second point of the oil cooling circuit and/or a speed sensor assigned to the oil pump. Also proposed is a vehicle having a thermal management system of this type.

The disclosure relates to a method for determining a size of a leak in a fuel tank system. The method includes: starting an internal combustion engine; calculating a stoppage time for a vehicle and/or a temperature difference between the fuel in the fuel tank system and the environment; and checking whether at least one of a plurality of diagnostic conditions is fulfilled. A first diagnostic condition is fulfilled when the stoppage time is longer than a predetermined minimum stoppage time. A second diagnostic condition is fulfilled when the temperature difference is smaller than a predetermined maximum temperature difference. Additionally, when at least one of the plurality of diagnostic conditions is fulfilled, the method includes: evacuating the fuel tank system; recording a time profile of the pressure in the fuel tank system; and determining the size of a leak based on the recorded time profile of the pressure.

A thermal management system for a vehicle and a vehicle having a thermal management system, the thermal management system having a first coolant circuit for a battery and a second coolant circuit for an electric motor for driving the vehicle. The two coolant circuits can be operated in series or in parallel by a multi-way valve. The thermal management system further includes an oil cooling circuit for additionally cooling the electric motor, wherein the oil cooling circuit is thermally connected to the second coolant circuit via a heat exchanger.

In such a hybrid vehicle, in electric mode the purge air pump is activated and detection of the concentration of hydrocarbons present in the activated carbon filter is performed with the purge air pump activated.

A method for preheating a catalytic converter which is arranged in the exhaust-gas flow of a motor vehicle and which has an electrically heated catalyst is described. The catalytic converter is preheated with the electrically heated catalyst to a maximum temperature within a period of time before the initial engine starting operation. In the process, the temperature of the electrically heated catalyst and the battery state of the vehicle are monitored. During the preheating, it is checked whether or not the battery state has fallen below a state threshold. If so, the heating of the electrically heated catalyst is stopped, and engine-internal measures are implemented. If not, further heating of the electrically heated catalyst is implemented until the maximum temperature is reached again.

The method includes determining a torque output of the combustion chamber, specifying a comparative value for the torque output, and determining a difference between the torque output and the comparative value. When the difference is less than a given threshold value, the method reduces a first injection quantity of the gaseous fuel depending on the determined difference, which is injected temporally before the inlet valve is closed. When the difference is greater than the given threshold value, the method increases the first injection quantity of the gaseous fuel depending on the determined difference. Also described is a device which may carry out the method.
