A display device includes a substrate and subpixel groups disposed on the substrate. Each subpixel group includes four first subpixels for emitting four first color lights, four second subpixels for emitting four second color lights, and eight third subpixels for emitting eight third color lights. The first subpixels, the second subpixels, and the third subpixels are respectively arranged adjacent to each other along a first axis and a second axis intersecting the first axis, in which each of the first subpixels is located adjacent to another one of the first subpixels along the first axis or the second axis, each of the second subpixels is located adjacent to another one of the second subpixels along the first axis or the second axis, and each of the third subpixels is located adjacent to another one of the third subpixels along at least one of the first axis and the second axis.

Display device

A display device includes a color transformer and an image controller. The color transformer receives and transforms a three-color image into a four-color image. The four-color image includes a red image, a green image, a blue image, and a white image. The image controller calculates decrement offsets of the red image, the green image, and the blue image, and a compensation value of the white image. The image controller calculates gray level values of the red image, the green image, and the blue image when a value of the white image is zero. The image controller respectively calculates a red image control signal, a green image control signal, and a blue image control signal based on the gray level values and the decrement offsets, and the image controller calculates a white image control signal based on the gray level values and the compensation value of the white image.

A display device includes a rear bezel, a display panel and at least two heat dissipation sheets. The display panel is disposed on the rear bezel. The display panel includes at least one power line having an extension direction. The heat dissipation sheets are disposed between the rear bezel and the display panel. The heat dissipation sheets have at least one seam formed therebetween. The at least one seam is substantially parallel to the extension direction of the at least one power line.

Display device and assembly method thereof

A pixel arrangement of color display panel includes a plurality of white sub-pixels extending along a first direction and forming a plurality of white sub-pixel columns and a plurality of first sub-pixels, second sub-pixels and third sub-pixels disposed between the white sub-pixel columns to respectively provide a first color light, a second color light and a third color light. The first, second, third and white sub-pixels respectively have a first length, a second length, a third length and a fourth length in the first direction. The first sub-pixels, the second sub-pixels and the third sub-pixels are arranged in a specific sequence. The first length is equal to the second length, the second length is equal to the third length, and the fourth length is greater than the first length.

Pixel arrangement of color display panel

A pixel arrangement of color display panel includes a plurality of first sub-pixels, second sub-pixels, third sub-pixels and fourth sub-pixels for respectively providing a first color light, a second color light, a third color light and a fourth color light. The first sub-pixels and the fourth sub-pixels respectively have the same first length and fourth length in a first direction. The second sub-pixels and the third sub-pixels respectively have the same second length and third length in the first direction, which are greater than the first length. The first and fourth sub-pixels are arranged along the first direction to form sub-pixel columns, wherein one of the first sub-pixels in one of the sub-pixel columns partially overlaps one of the first sub-pixels and one of the fourth sub-pixels in another sub-pixel column in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction.

A pixel arrangement of color display panel includes a plurality of first sub-pixels for providing a first color light, a plurality of second sub-pixels for providing a second color light, a plurality of third sub-pixels for providing a third color light and a plurality of white sub-pixels for providing a white light. The first sub-pixels extend along a first direction, and form a plurality of first sub-pixel columns disposed in parallel. The second and third sub-pixels are disposed between two adjacent first sub-pixel columns. The white sub-pixels are disposed between two adjacent first sub-pixel columns, and the white sub-pixels extend along the first direction, and form a plurality of white sub-pixel columns disposed in parallel.

A display panel includes a plurality of pixels. Each of the pixels includes four sub-pixels. After the display panel receives luminance values of four sub-pixels of a pixel, the display panel compares a sub-pixel of the pixel with same color sub-pixels of neighboring pixels. If a luminance value of the same color sub-pixel of neighboring pixel is greater than the luminance value of the sub-pixel by a predetermined threshold, the luminance value of the sub-pixel of the pixel is reduced.

Method of displaying image of display panel

A layout method of sub-pixel renderings includes the following steps: providing an RGB pixel rendering, wherein each pixel of the RGB pixel rendering includes a plurality of sub-pixels, and the plurality of sub-pixels have different colors from each other; and when displaying a stereo image, dividing the RGB pixel rendering into a first sub-pixel rendering corresponding to a left-eye image and a second sub-pixel rendering corresponding to a right-eye image; wherein at least one of each row and each column of the first sub-pixel rendering includes R, G, and B sub-pixels, and at least one of each row and each column of the second sub-pixel rendering includes R, G, and B sub-pixels.

Layout method of sub-pixel renderings

A multi-view stereoscopic display includes a display panel and a parallax barrier panel. The display panel includes a plurality of scan lines, a plurality of data lines, and a plurality of pixels. The parallax barrier panel includes a plurality of barriers and a plurality of control lines. The parallax barrier panel can block the display panel for displaying a plurality of images of different view angles. Each barrier corresponds to a predetermined number of pixels of the same data line. The barriers corresponding to the same scan line are divided into a plurality of groups of barriers. The plurality of control line corresponds to the plurality of scan lines. Each control line drives a group of barriers corresponding to the same scan line.

Multi-view stereoscopic display

In a 3D display system, an AMOLED display panel is used for alternatively presenting left-eye images and right-eye images associated with specific images, and an LCD polarizing panel is used for providing the left-eye images and the right-eye images with different polarization angles. When the LCD polarizing panel is in the process of rotating its LCD molecules, corresponding OLED rows of the AMOLED display panel are sequentially turned off so as to display black images, thereby preventing crosstalk and improving display quality.
