The display device includes a substrate including a display area and a non-display area, a light-emitting element layer in the display and non-display areas, a color conversion layer including a bank in the display and non-display areas, a capping layer in the display and non-display areas and covering the bank, a plurality of color filters in the display and non-display areas and the plurality of color filters in the non-display area overlapping each other, and an overcoat layer in the display and non-display areas and covering the plurality of color filters. Each of the substrate, the capping layer, the plurality of color filters, and the overcoat layer has a lateral side which is furthest from the display area, and the lateral sides of the substrate, the capping layer, each of the plurality of color filters, and the overcoat layer are aligned with one another.

A liquid crystal display according to an exemplary embodiment of the present system and method includes a first insulation substrate, a thin film transistor disposed on the first insulation substrate, a pixel electrode connected to the thin film transistor, a protrusion disposed on the pixel electrode, a second insulation substrate facing the first insulation substrate, a common electrode disposed on the second insulation substrate, and a liquid crystal layer disposed between the pixel electrode and the common electrode, wherein one pixel includes a thin film transistor formation region where the thin film transistor is disposed and a display area where the pixel electrode is disposed, and the protrusion is disposed to overlay at least a portion of edges of the display area.

A display device may include a first pixel electrode, a second pixel electrode, an organic layer, and a light-blocking member. The organic layer may include a first organic portion and a second organic portion. The first organic portion may overlap the first pixel electrode and may be spaced from the second organic portion. The second organic portion may overlap the second pixel electrode. The light-blocking member may be positioned between the first organic portion and the second organic portion.

Thin film transistor array panel and manufacturing method thereof

A liquid crystal display includes a substrate, a gate line, a data line, first and second reference voltage lines disposed on the substrate, first and second subpixel electrodes disposed in one pixel area, and first to third switching elements. The first and second reference voltage lines apply first and second reference voltages. The first and second subpixel electrodes include a plate portion and a plurality of branch portions extending from the plate portion. The first and second reference voltage lines include a first portion overlapping the first subpixel electrode and the second subpixel electrode. The first portion overlaps the plate portion of the first and second subpixel electrodes. A voltage difference between the first subpixel electrode and a common voltage is larger than a voltage difference between the second subpixel electrode and the common voltage.

A liquid crystal display according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention includes: a first substrate, a plurality of signal lines positioned on the first substrate, a pixel electrode connected to the signal lines, and a contact hole exposing a portion of the signal line, wherein the pixel electrode includes a cross-shaped stem, a plurality of branch electrodes extending from the cross-shaped stem, and an edge stem connecting the plurality of branch electrodes at an edge of the pixel electrode, and the edge stem of the pixel electrode adjacent to the contact hole being removed.
