A system, apparatus, method and computer program product determine the location of a receiver, such as one or more sensors, carried by a device, e.g., a robot. In a method, an audio signal is received in response to a predetermined audio signal provided by at least two audio source devices. For the audio signal that is received from a respective audio source device, the method estimates a first impulse response between the respective audio source device and the receiver. For the first impulse response estimated between each respective audio source device of the at least two audio source devices and the receiver, the method removes one or more reflections from the first impulse response to create direct path information. The method also includes determining a location of the receiver based at least in part upon the direct path information.

System and method for location determination utilizing direct path information

A communication server and accompanying communication devices allow near instantaneous communication between users of the communication devices. A communication device may be configured with multiple channels, where each channel is assigned a corresponding communication device. As the communication devices are registered with the communication server, each communication device has knowledge of other registered communication devices. Thus, communication devices may communicate nearly instantaneously with each other. Furthermore, as the communication device is equipped with multiple channels, a single communication device may host a conference call with other communication devices. In addition, communication device may include multiple buttons to control the communication device, and indicator lights to indicate the status of calls with other communication devices.

The present disclosure generally discloses a three-dimensional (3D) image reconstruction capability. The 3D image reconstruction capability may be configured to support reconstruction of a 3D image of a scene. The 3D image reconstruction capability may be configured to support reconstruction of a 3D image of a scene based on lensless compressive image acquisition performed using a lensless compressive camera having a single aperture and a set of multiple sensors. The reconstructed 3D image of a scene may include (1) image data indicative of a set of multiple two-dimensional (2D) images reconstructed based on the set of multiple sensors of the lensless compressive camera (which may be represented as images) and (2) depth information indicative of depths at points or areas of an overlapping portion of the multiple images reconstructed based on the set of multiple sensors of the lensless compressive camera (which may be represented as a depth map).

The present disclosure generally discloses single-aperture multi-sensor lensless compressive image acquisition capabilities. The present disclosure generally discloses a single-aperture multi-sensor lensless camera including a programmable aperture and a set of sensors. The programmable aperture is configured to modulate an amount of light permitted to pass through the programmable aperture and has a shape defined based on a set of vertices of the programmable aperture. The sensors are arranged, with respect to each other, based on the vertices of the programmable aperture. The sensors may be arranged such that respective reference lines, between the respective vertices of the programmable aperture and the respective sensors, are parallel or substantially parallel.

Single-aperture multi-sensor lensless compressive image acquisition

A plurality of lighting elements is configured to selectively illuminate a scene during a plurality of time intervals. The plurality of lighting elements forms a different illumination pattern in each of the plurality of time intervals. One or more sensors are configured to measure a plurality of intensities of light received from the scene during the plurality of time intervals. A processor is configured to generate an image of the scene based on the plurality of intensities. In some cases, the plurality of lighting elements are switched on or off to produce different illumination patterns during a plurality of time intervals that too short to be perceptible to the human eye.

In one example embodiment, a transmitting device includes a memory configured to store computer-readable instructions and a processor configured to execute the computer-readable instructions. The method includes receiving at least one measurement of a set of measurements that was generated at an encoder. The set of measurements represents encoded video data. The method further includes determining a display resolution, where the display resolution is the same or different than an original display resolution. The method further includes determining an expansion matrix based on at least a number of pixels for the determined display resolution, and reconstructing the video data using the determined expansion matrix such that the original display resolution is resized to the determined display resolution if the determined display resolution is different than the original display resolution. The expansion matrix includes a pattern of values.

Method and apparatus for arbitrary resolution video coding using compressive sampling measurements

Systems and methods are provided for constructing a multi-resolution image from a set of compressive measurements representing a compressed version of a single native resolution image. In one aspect, compressive sense measurements are retrieved that were generated using a compressive sensing matrix and represent a compressed version of a single native resolution image of a scene. Dimensions of a desired two-dimensional, multi-resolution image are determined, and a plurality of regions is allocated, each allocated region having a respective resolution. An expansion matrix is defined to map the resolution of each allocated region to the native resolution, and a multi-resolution image of the scene is constructed using the compressive sense measurements, the compressive sensing matrix, and the defined expansion matrices. In various aspects, a full resolution or other multi-resolution images may be constructed from the same compressive measurements without regenerating new compressive measurements.

A measurement vector of compressive measurements is received. The measurement vector may be derived by applying a sensing matrix to a source signal. At least one first feature vector is generated from the measurement vector. The first feature vector is an estimate of a second feature vector. A measurement vector of compressive measurements is received. The measurement vector may be derived by applying a sensing matrix to a source signal. Embodiments relate to a method and apparatus for super resolution video coding using compressive measurements. The method includes receiving, by a decoder, a set of measurements, where the set of measurements represents encoded video data having original video data with an original display resolution. The method further includes determining, by the decoder, a display resolution, where the display resolution is higher than the original display resolution, and determining a reduction matrix based on at least a number of pixels for the determined display resolution, where the reduction matrix includes a pattern of values. The method further includes reconstructing, by the decoder, the video data or a portion of the video data using the determined reduction matrix and the received set of measurements such that the original display resolution is enlarged to the determined display resolution.

Method and apparatus for super-resolution video coding using compressive sampling measurements

Systems and methods for compressive sense imaging are provided. In one aspect, a system and method is provided for determining at least one kernel matrix based on the relative motion of an object during a time period corresponding to the acquisition of one or more compressive measurements of the object. An uncompressed image of the object is generated using the compressive measurements using a reconstruction basis matrix that is different from the compressive basis matrix used to acquire the compressive measurements of the object. To compensate for the relative motion of the object, the reconstruction basis matrix is determined based on the at least one kernel matrix and the compressive basis matrix.

The satellite receiver then cancels the interference caused by the terrestrial transmitter by combining the interference cancellation signal with the received OTA signal. The interference cancellation signal is a modified version of the reference terrestrial signal.
