The apparatus receives a message from a first user equipment (UE), the message comprising a first identifier (ID). The apparatus sends a first request to an authority requesting authorization to control the first UE. The apparatus receives information from the authority for controlling the first UE. The apparatus transmits a second request for connection with the first UE to control the first UE, the second request comprising the information received from the authority.

Method and apparatus for vehicle maneuver planning and messaging

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for conveying information via medium access control (MAC) control element (CEs). In some cases, the MAC-CEs may relate to sidelink communications between two user equipments (UEs). A first wireless node may send the first MAC-CE on at least one of a sidelink or a cellular link and provide providing routing information for the first MAC-CE. The routing information may indicate, for example, a source node, a destination node, or a transit route through one or more nodes. The routing information may also indicate whether traffic sent with the first MAC-CE is relayed traffic or traffic originating at the first node.

Sidelink medium access control (MAC) control element (CE) designs

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. An improved manner of transmitting and receiving messages in V2X/V2V/D2D is presented in which a transmitting device determines a geographic location of the mobile transmitting device and generates a message for a service group having a group ID associated with the service group, the message comprising a first indication of a geographic area associated with the message, the geographic area based at least in part on the geographic location of the transmitting device. Then, the apparatus transmits the message to the service group, e.g., via V2X/V2V/D2D communication. A receiving device then determines its geographic location and determines whether to send a feedback for the message based on the first indication of the geographic area associated with the message and the geographic location of the receiving device.

Aspects relate to managing a device-to-device communication link via radio resource control (RRC) layer signaling. In an example operation, a first wireless communication device establishes a unicast link with a second wireless communication device over a device-to-device communication interface and determines that the unicast link is to be reconfigured with at least one updated parameter. The first wireless communication device then sends a link reconfiguration request to the second wireless communication device via a first RRC message over the communication interface. The first RRC message includes the at least one updated parameter. The first wireless communication device receives a link reconfiguration response from the second wireless communication device via a second RRC message over the communication interface based on the link reconfiguration request and determines whether to reconfigure the unicast link using the at least one updated parameter based on the received link reconfiguration response.

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide a method for wireless communications by a transmitter user equipment (UE). The transmitter UE generates a message authentication code, based on information within a sidelink master information block (SL-MIB) and a key shared between the transmitter UE and a receiver UE. The transmitter UE transmits a sidelink broadcast channel (SL-BCH) transmission carrying the SL-MIB and the message authentication code.

The UE may transmit, to one or more second UEs, a sensor sharing message that includes the position information of the object relative to the selected reference entity and an indication of the selected reference entity. The one or more second UEs may detect the position of the reference entity and determine the location of the detected object based on the position of the reference entity and the position of the detected object relative to the position of the reference entity.

A network entity may partition one or more user equipments (UEs) within a target area into groups and assign one UE per set to be a lead UE to aggregate shared sensor data without large sidelink overhead from multicasting all sensor data or uplink signaling overhead from aggregating data at the network entity. For example, the network entity may transmit, and a UE may receive, a partition request message corresponding to a hierarchical partitioning scheme. The UE may transmit a partition request feedback message in response to the partition request message, which may include an indication of the availability of the UE to act as the lead UE. The UE may receive a partition assignment message from the network entity, which may include a partition between sets of UEs and an indication of the lead UE for the set of UEs.

Hierarchical partitioning and sensor data aggregation in perceptive wireless communications systems

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may identify a first radio bearer to be used for sensing operations and a second radio bearer to be used for data communications. The base station may transmit, to a user equipment (UE), a control message indicating the first radio bearer and the second radio bearer, where the first radio bearer and the second radio bearer may be indicative of a resource allocation for the sensing operations and the data communications. The UE may perform the sensing operations in accordance with a resource allocation, and perform the data communications in accordance with the resource allocation, where the resource allocation may be based on the first radio bearer and the second radio bearer. The UE may perform the sensing operations and the data communications in accordance with a joint communication and radar (JCR) system.

Techniques for allocating resources for communications and radar sensing

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A wireless network may receive a message from a wireless device that is coupled with an aerial vehicle. The message may include a network identifier, an aerial identifier, and operational information for the aerial vehicle. The wireless network may send a message to an aerial function management system requesting that the aerial function management system authenticate an identity of the aerial vehicle. The wireless network may also request that the aerial function management system approve a flight path for the aerial vehicle. The wireless network may establish a data session with the wireless device based on an authentication of the aerial vehicle and an approval of the flight path.

A user equipment (UE) may identify a set of one or more sidelink resources, and the UE may identify wake-up signal occasions associated with the resources. The UE may monitor for wake-up signals during the wake-up signal occasions, and the UE may further monitor the associated set of one or more resources based on receiving a wake-up signal. In some examples, respective sets of one or more sidelink resources may be associated with a number of multiple-input multiple-output layers used for sidelink communications, or may indicate respective bandwidth parts used for monitoring sidelink transmissions.

In one aspect, a remote device generates data for transmission to a network based on an application, selects one of a set of data routing options for routing the data to the network based on policy control information; each of the set of data routing options includes routing the data via a relay device; and transmits the data to the relay device for routing the data via the selected data routing option. In another aspect, a relay establishes a protocol data unit (PDU) session with a network for relaying data received from a remote device based on policy control information, receives data from the remote device, and transmits the data to a base station coupled to the network via the PDU session. Another aspect relates to the base station operation with respect to the above aspects.
