Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some cases, an application enabler layer (e.g., a vehicle-to-everything (V2X) application enabler (VAE) layer), may identify a congestion control configuration that includes capabilities for collecting operation information. The application enabler layer may receive, from a set of user equipment (UEs), the operation information in accordance with the capabilities. Then, the application enabler layer may generate congestion control instructions for one or more UEs of the set of UEs based on the received operation information. Additionally or alternatively, an application enabler architecture layer (e.g., a service enabler architecture layer for verticals (SEAL)) may identify a congestion control configuration including capabilities for collecting operation information and monitor sidelink performance for the set of UEs in accordance with the capabilities. The application enabler architecture layer may identify a congestion status for a communication type based on monitoring the sidelink performance.

Congestion control by a sidelink midlayer framework

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) and a base station may determine whether the UE is inside or outside of a vehicle with a relay device. Techniques for determining whether the UE is inside or outside of the vehicle are described herein. The UE may determine whether to camp on a cell of the relay device based on whether the UE is inside or outside the vehicle. The base station may perform connected mode mobility for the UE based on whether the UE is inside or outside the vehicle.

Techniques for efficient mobility using relay devices

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. One method for wireless communication at a first device includes receiving a multicast packet from a second device, decoding control header information in the received multicast packet, determining that a decoding procedure associated with a payload of the received multicast packet is unsuccessful and transmitting a negative acknowledgement (NACK) based at least in part on the determining. The method also includes retrieving a list of transmitter identifiers. In some cases, transmitting the NACK is based at least in part on the list of transmitter identifiers. The method further includes determining a transmitter identifier associated with the multicast packet and determining that the transmitter identifier is present in the list of transmitter identifiers.

Radio vehicle-to-anything negative acknowledgement based multicast

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a network node, a first indication, associated with a sidelink communication, of at least one of whether sidelink carrier aggregation is supported or a first one or more component carriers associated with the sidelink communication. The UE may receive, from the network node based on transmitting the indication, a second indication that a transmission associated with the sidelink communication is to be duplicated for multiple component carriers. The UE may transmit, based on the second indication, the sidelink communication via each of a plurality of component carriers that include at least one component carrier from the first one or more component carriers. Sidelink carrier aggregation

Aspects present herein relate to methods and devices for wireless communication including an apparatus, e.g., a UE and/or a base station. The apparatus may receive, from a base station, a security mode command message associated with secure sidelink communication with at least one other UE. The apparatus may also identify, based on the security mode command message, at least one of a RRC encryption key or a user plane encryption key. Additionally, the apparatus may receive, from the base station, an indication of at least one of a common base key or the RRC encryption key. The apparatus may also identify a physical layer sidelink encryption key based on at least one of the common base key or the RRC encryption key, the physical layer sidelink encryption key being associated with the secure sidelink communication with the at least one other UE.

Secure sidelink communication

Some aspects provide a method for wireless communication by a first wireless device. The method generally includes transmitting control information regarding at least one of scheduling or configuration of a channel state information (CSI) report to be transmitted by the first wireless device. The method generally includes generating the CSI report based on one or more CSI reference signals (CSI-RSs) received by the first wireless device. The method generally includes and transmitting the CSI report in accordance with the control information.

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may obtain a common key. The UE may communicate with one or more other UEs using a lower layer groupcast key that is based at least in part on the common key, a parameter, and at least one of a group identifier or a destination identifier. Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a first user equipment (UE) may start a sidelink bandwidth part (BWP) timer with a duration that is based at least in part on a timing of a sidelink discontinuous reception active state of the first UE. The first UE may switch to a first sidelink BWP for the duration of the sidelink BWP timer. Numerous other aspects are described.

An improved manner of transmitting and receiving messages in sidelink communication is presented in which a wireless device receives sidelink control information (SCI) that indicates a zone ID associated with a sidelink message. The wireless device determines a location of the wireless device and determines whether to send feedback for the sidelink message based, at least in part, on the zone ID associated with the sidelink message and the location of the wireless device. The feedback may include hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback, and the sidelink message may include a groupcast message. The wireless device may further receive an indication of an intended range in the SCI and may determine whether to send the feedback based on a combination of the zone ID and the intended range for the sidelink message.

Transmission with indication of geographic area

The apparatus may be a first wireless device configured to receive a first indication that a second wireless device associated with the first wireless device and a network device is classified as providing data of a first type. The apparatus may further be configured to receive a first set of data elements from the second wireless device. The apparatus may be configured to identify, based on the first set of data elements and a second set of data elements available at the first wireless device, that the classification of the second wireless device may be inaccurate and transmit, based on the identification that the classification of the second wireless device may be inaccurate, at least one of a second indication for the second wireless device to transmit a re-evaluation request or a third indication to the second wireless device to terminate a communication session with the first wireless device.

Mitigating the effects of rogue actors in vehicle-to-vehicle perceptive wireless communications

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a first user equipment (UE) may configure a discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle of the first UE for a sidelink connection with a second UE. The UE may identify a mode that specifies whether the first UE is to receive a communication outside of an on duration of the DRX cycle if the on duration is extended due to receiving sidelink control information (SCI) reserving a resource outside of the on duration. The UE may communicate in accordance with the mode. Numerous other aspects are described.

Power consumption optimization under discontinuous reception

The present disclosure relates to wireless communications, and more particularly to providing connectivity of a PC5 remote user equipment (UE) with UE-to-network (NW) relay access to the 5G core (5GC) via an IWF (e.g., N3IWF). In one aspect, a remote UE may be provided support for a network access stratum (NAS) connection with 5GC via an IWF. In some aspects, a method includes transmitting, by a first user equipment (UE) including a first set of transmission and reception points (TRPs), a first request for a first sidelink (SL) positioning session. The first request indicates a multi-TRP positioning session is enabled. The method also includes receiving, from a second UE including a second set of TRPs, a first response based on the first request. Multi-transmission and reception point (multi-TRP) based positioning

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a first user equipment (UE) may receive, from a second UE via a sidelink interface between the first UE and the second UE, an indication of a device discovery model associated with the second UE, wherein the device discovery model associated with the second UE is different than a device discovery model associated with the first UE.
