A docking station for an aerial vehicle includes a frame having an upper rim or perimeter for providing support to the aerial vehicle and defining a depression or a cavity for accommodating portions of the aerial vehicle therein. The depression or cavity includes a plurality of visual markings arranged in a distinct pattern, along with receptacles for receiving landing extensions of an aerial vehicle therein. When an aerial vehicle attempts a docking evolution, a downward-oriented camera of the aerial vehicle captures images of the docking station and detects the plurality of visual markings in the distinct pattern depicted within such images. The aerial vehicle may then execute maneuvers to properly align itself with respect to the distinct pattern during a descent. The frame is formed at angles and from materials that are selected to enable landing extensions of an aerial vehicle to slide into receptacles and complete a docking evolution.

A barrel driving mechanism and an image pickup device thereof. The barrel driving mechanism comprises a fixing-barrel, a driving-barrel and a moving-barrel. The fixing-barrel has a first groove with a first stop-position and a first position. The driving-barrel disposed in the fixing-barrel has a second groove with a second stop-position and a second position. The driving-barrel has a first guiding protrusion inserted into the first groove. The moving-barrel disposed in the driving-barrel having a second guiding protrusion is inserted into the second groove. Wherein, the first stop-position to the first position and the second stop-position to the second position are slanted grooves. When the driving-barrel is rotated, the driving-barrel shifts a first axial distance and the moving-barrel shifts a second axial distance. The sum of the first axial distance and the second axial distance equals the total displacement of the moving barrel.

Barrel driving mechanism and image pickup device thereof

The present invention discloses an image capturing device and a lens actuating device and a lens actuating method thereof. The lens actuating device comprises a focus lens group, a zoom lens group, a motor and a microcontroller. The focus lens group is arranged for changing a focus point of the image. The zoom lens group is arranged for changing distance of the image. The motor is arranged for driving the movements of the focus lens group and the zoom lens group respectively. The microcontroller is arranged for receiving a plurality of instructions, and controlling the motor at one of a plurality of predetermined speeds according to the instruction received to control the motor to drive the focus lens group or the zoom lens group to perform a focus motion or a zoom motion.

Image capturing device and lens actuating device and lens actuating method thereof

The patent discloses a lens barrel driving system and a backlash correction method thereof. In such system, a zoom photo-interrupter (PI) is used to detect the movement of a zooming barrel and generate a first count value. The movement of a focusing barrel corresponds to the movement of the zooming barrel, so that when the zooming barrel is driven to move from an initial position to a first zooming position or from the first zoom position to a second zoom position, the focusing barrel moves correspondingly and its movement triggers a home PI to generate a second count value. Upon the generation of the second count value, a predetermined value is used to replace the first count value so as to correct the error caused by backlash of lens barrels.

A lens driving module and an image pickup apparatus thereof include a driving barrel, a first zooming barrel, a second zooming barrel and a focusing barrel. An inner wall of the driving barrel has at least one first groove, at least one second groove and at least one controlling convex dot. The first zooming barrel, the second zooming barrel and an outer wall of the focusing barrel have at least one first-direction convex dot, at least one second-direction convex dot and at least one third groove respectively. At least one first-direction convex dot, at least one second-direction convex dot and at least one controlling convex dot are inserted in at least one first groove, at least one second groove and at least one third groove respectively. When the driving barrel is rotated, the lens driving module performs a zooming or focusing operation by each groove and each convex dot.

The focusing lens-barrel has a guiding part, which is inserted into the groove for allowing the focusing lens-barrel to be axially moved in the driving barrel. The focusing lens-barrel has a second supporting part. The elastic member is a hollow-ring structure setting between the lens-barrel fixing-base and the focusing lens-barrel. One end of the elastic member is positioned against the first supporting part and the another end of the elastic member is positioned against the second supporting part.
