Methods, systems, and apparatuses for remote well operation control. Methods include conducting, with a plurality of remote well operation control hosts operating on corresponding remote well logging data acquisition management systems, a well operation using a well operation system at a well, wherein the well operation system includes a carrier having disposed thereon at least one logging instrument. Methods may include establishing a first operational control relationship between the carrier and a first of the plurality of remote well operation control hosts sufficient for the first remote well operation control host to control the carrier; and establishing a second operational control relationship between a selected one of the at least one logging instrument and a second remote well operation control host different than the first, the operational control relationship sufficient for the second remote well operation control host to control the at least one logging instrument and receive logging data.

Distributed remote logging

A system and method for logging in a wellbore where sensor assemblies on a logging tool are deployed and landed in the wellbore. After the sensor assemblies are landed in the wellbore and released from the logging tool, the logging tool is pulled uphole. Moving the logging tool uphole from where the sensor assemblies are landed, reduces interference of the logging tool with measurements obtained with the sensor assemblies. The sensor assemblies include sensors for detecting fluid flow, pressure, temperature, fluid density, formation resistivity, and which can be mechanical, optical, acoustic, or electromagnetic.

Methods, systems, and apparatuses for remote well logging. Methods include conducting, with a plurality of remote well operation control hosts operating on corresponding remote well logging data acquisition management systems, a well logging operation using a well logging system at a logging site, wherein the well logging system includes a conveyance device having disposed thereon a first logging instrument and a second logging instrument; operating the first logging instrument responsive to at least one well-logging command from a first remote well operation control host of the plurality; and operating the second logging instrument responsive to at least one well-logging command from a second remote well operation control host of the plurality different than the first. Methods include transmitting a virtual presence feed associated with a logging site supervisor from the logging site to at least one of the corresponding remote well logging data acquisition management systems.

Methods and apparatus for alleviating a stuck condition of a tool string, including using a jarring assembly to collide a plurality of impact surfaces together. The collision results in at least a shock wave inducing i) translational motion along the longitudinal axis of the tool string, and ii) motion in at least one other degree of freedom sufficient to alleviate the stuck condition of the tool string, which may be at least one of: i) translational motion along an axis substantially normal to the longitudinal axis, and ii) rotational motion. Methods may include generating at least one test impact load using a jarring assembly; generating movement information from a sensor responsive to the at least one test impact load; and generating further impact loads using the jarring assembly in dependence upon the movement information.

In one example implementation according to aspects of the present disclosure, a computer-implemented method may include: receiving, by a processing device, operating parameters for simulating a well operation job; simulating, by the processing device, the well operation job based on the operating parameters to generate a script for performing the well operation job, wherein the script comprises an ordered plurality of tasks and corresponding task parameters; and performing the well operation job based on the script generated by the simulation.

A method for operating a wireline winch configured to convey a wireline coupled to a downhole tool disposed in a borehole penetrating the earth includes: receiving a first cumulative surface wireline tension limit for downhole wireline components; calculating a second cumulative surface wireline tension limit for surface components using wireline speed and surface equipment data; combining the first and the second cumulative surface wireline tension limits to provide a total cumulative surface wireline tension limit as a function of depth; presenting the total cumulative surface wireline tension limit as a function of depth and operating wireline tension values as a function of depth for the downhole tool to a user; performing an assessment of the operating wireline tension values as a function of depth versus the total cumulative surface wireline tension limit as a function of depth; and operating the wireline winch using the assessment and a winch controller.

A one trip system for perforating and fracking multiple intervals uses a releasable barrier. The barrier can be an inflatable. A pressure booster system is associated with the BHA so that the existing hydrostatic pressure is boosted when the gun or portions thereof are fired. After firing in one interval, the BHA is raised and the barrier is redeployed and the pattern repeats. Instruments allow sensing the conditions in the interval for optimal placement of the gun therein and for monitoring flow, pressure and formation conditions during the fracturing. Circulation between gun firings cleans up the hole. If run in on wireline a water saving tool can be associated with the BHA to rapidly position it where desired. A multitude of perforation charges mounted in the BHA can be selectively fired by selected corresponding detonator based on a predetermined sequence or surface telemetry command.

A method of downhole operations with a wireline deployed tool that has become stuck downhole. The wireline is selectively detached from the stuck tool, and a tubular is attached to a coupling provided with the tool. The tool is unstuck by applying upward and downward forces to the tool with the tubular. The coupling further provides communication between a line in the tubular and the downhole tool, thereby providing communication between the tool and surface. Thus, after unsticking the tool, wellbore operations can continue with the tool attached onto the tubular.

In an aspect, an apparatus may include a chamber configured to receive a core at a receiving end of the chamber and a cutting device configured to cut the core at a location distal from the receiving end of the core chamber. In aspects, a method may include drilling into the formation to retrieve a core, receiving the core into a chamber at an open end of a chamber, and cutting the core uphole of the open end of the chamber so as to continue to receive the core into the chamber as the drilling continues.
