An apparatus () for analyzing, measuring the fluorescence, luminescence, phosphorescence, Raman scattering or absorption of a small amount, for example a drop, of a liquid sample () with the aid of light () which can be guided through the sample () and can then be detected or analyzed according to said measuring methods. Said apparatus comprises a sample holder which is at the top when in the position of use and has a receiving point () for applying or dripping the sample (), and a light inlet () for excitation light, said light inlet being horizontally oriented when in the position of use and below the sample holder (). The apparatus has a first device () which is downstream of the light inlet () in the beam path and is used to deflect the light upwards to a position to the side of the receiving point (), and second light deflection means () which guide the light beam coming from the bottom into the sample to be analyzed.

Apparatus for analysing a small amount of liquid

A device () having integrated beam switching systems is provided which uses corresponding devices (and) and fiber optic light guides (and) for guiding the light () used for analysis of a liquid medium (), for example in a spectrophotometer, a spectrofluorimeter or a similar measuring device, to a measuring point located on the device () and embodied as a receiving surface () for the medium, and back therefrom to the detector for the spectrophotometer, a spectrofluorimeter or the like. The receiving surface () forms a flat measuring point on the upper side of the device () and is closed by a cover-type detachable reflector () in the position of use. The reflector is in close contact with the sample of the medium () and can be removed before the application of the sample and for cleaning the measuring point.

Device for the analysis or absorption measurement of a small quantity of a liquid medium by means of light

A device () for analysis of absorption measurement on small amounts, for example on a drop or droplet of a liquid medium () using light () is provided, with an upper planar location () for the application or dropping of the medium (), a light entry () in the housing () arranged beneath the location surface or receiving position () and a first device () in the light beam behind the light entry () for deflection of the light upwards to the receiving position () where a detachably mounted reflector () is also located. The device () for deflecting the light beam is designed such that the direction of the optical axis of the deflected light beam is oriented upwards toward the middle (M) of the device () and the inclined position of the optical axis of the light beam with regard to the device mid-point (M) is arranged to be directed at the position of the reflector () through which the longitudinal median (M) between the light entry () and the light exit from the device () extends. The height of the assembly of the device () relative to such a device in which the light is first deflected about a right angle and only then after a further direction change is directed at the receiving position () or the sample, is correspondingly lower.
