A computer system, method, and program product for registering sensors, includes an interface to receive a query (Q) related to a specific event for a target system state associated with a specific activity pattern. A decomposer decomposes the query (Q) into semantic expressions (QSe,QSe) describing the target system state, and identifies a database entry associated with a semantic expression from the decomposition. A retriever retrieves behavioral data corresponding to the identified database entry, including dependencies between elements that describe the specific activity pattern. The specific activity pattern is associated with multiple activity data structures. A registration component registers a sensor (S,S,S), assigned to the activity data structures.

System and method for registering sensors used in monitoring-systems

A computer () recognizes an event pattern (ABC) for objects () that belong to an event domain (). The computer activates a pattern query () that corresponds to the event pattern (ABC) and that has a least one state (S) with an distinctive transition probability to a final state. The probability is derived from object observations in the event domain (). The computer continuously receives event representations (*A, *A, *A, *D, . . . ) that are related to the objects () and allocates the event representations to a first processing resource () to initiate instances () of the query (). It monitors the instances and, upon receiving event representations that cause the instances to reach the state (S4) with the distinct transition probability, it shifts the instances to a second processing resource ().
