The invention relates to a multi-cyclone and to a method for operating such a multi-cyclone for separating fine material and very fine material. In this context, a multi-cyclone according to the invention has multiple individual cyclones which are of essentially identical construction and which are housed in a housing that has an upper and a lower chamber. Via a supply into the lower chamber it is possible to introduce in a targeted manner cyclone regulating air which can be used to set the quantity, the fineness and/or the purity of the material separated by means of the multi-cyclone.

The invention relates to a method for processing steel slag to produce a hydraulic mineral binder with a high hardening potential and to recover iron. There is provision for this purpose to provide a feed product comprising steel slag with MnO. This feed product is further processed as a melt by introducing reducing agents into the melt. A lime saturation factor of between 90 and 110 is hereby to be achieved in the mineral melt portion. Subsequently the melt is cooled in a defined manner and elemental iron is mechanically separated from the solidified melt. The solidified melt is then supplied for use as hydraulic mineral binder.

The invention relates to a central burner for multi-fuel multiple lance burner systems having a central lance with an inner pipe and an outer pipe. The inner pipe and the outer pipe form an annular clearance duct. A plurality of outer lances are arranged around the central lance. A funnel-like mixing device is provided in the extension of the annular clearance duct in the region of the end of the inner pipe. This funnel-like mixing device has openings in its wall for combustion media to flow through. The invention relates to a preparation method for stainless steel slags and modified steelworks slags for recovery of metal. In order to create a dry preparation method which guarantees a low wear and energy efficient comminution and de-agglomeration of stainless steel slags and modified steelworks slags as well as a selective separation of a metal fraction and a silicate fraction and which can be variable in relation to the different slag compositions and different requirements upon the quality of the metal fraction and the at least one silicate fraction, a roller mill is used at least for the comminution. The slags are supplied with a feed grain size of up to approximately 150 mm. The use of an air swept roller mill is advantageous, in which the comminution and de-agglomeration, if necessary drying, and at the same time a separation into an extensively mineral-free metal fraction and a virtually metal-free silicate fraction are brought together. When using an overflow roller mill the separation of the metal fraction and the silicate fraction takes place in an external classifier.
