A fuel cell stack is formed from a plurality of stacked fuel cell units and at least one stack end element. The stacked fuel cell units being surrounded by a housing. A frame element is situated on the at least one stack end element and the housing on the end-face side. At least one seal is situated at least between the stack end element and the housing in the area of the frame element.

Fuel cell stack

A fuel cell stack includes a plurality of stacked fuel cell units and at least one stack end element that are clamped a clamping device. The clamped fuel cell units are surrounded by a housing. A circumferential seal, in particular a lip seal, which has recesses for accommodating the clamping device is situated between the housing and the at least one stack end element. The clamping device is electrically insulated at least in the area of the recesses.

A piezoelectric actuator for flowing-around media, with a piezo element arranged between two end caps. The piezo element is surrounded by a ring-shaped sheathing connected to the end caps. The sheathing consists, at least in portions, of a composite material with at least two layers, at least one layer consisting of a metallic material and at least one layer consisting of a polymer.

A method for manufacturing a lightweight valve is provided. The lightweight valve includes a valve stem, a hollow valve cone and a valve disk closing the valve cone, the valve stem being provided with a hollow space at an end facing the valve disk, the valve disk also having a force transmission element extending through the hollow valve cone into the stem hollow space. The method includes producing a first one-piece component forming the valve disk with the force transmission element by casting, forming and/or a powder metallurgy method, producing a second component forming the valve stem and the valve cone and joining the first and second components together and connecting them by a material, non-positive and/or positive connection.

Method of manufacturing a lightweight valve

A lightweight valve (), in particular for internal combustion engines, and a method for manufacturing the lightweight valve () are provided. The valve comprises a valve stem (), a hollow valve cone () and a valve disk (), the valve cone () and the valve disk () together forming a hollow space. A multipart composite valve for an internal combustion engine, in which a valve shaft () and a valve plate () are embodied separately while being joined together in an overlapping area (). The invention is characterized in that at least some parts of the valve shaft () are provided with an intermediate layer () in the overlapping area (). Said intermediate layer () forms an integral joint with both the valve shaft () and the valve plate () in the form of a chemical bond, the valve plate () being cast onto the valve shaft ().

In a compressor and turbine wheel for a secondary air feed device formed as a single component, a rotor which includes a center disc structure consisting of at least two discs of different materials is provided at one side with compressor blades and on the opposite side with turbine blades, and the discs consist of an alloy based on Al, Mg, Ti, Fe, or Ni and are preferably arranged in axially spaced relationship with a disc carrier of a plastic material disposed in the space between the two bladed discs.
