A vacuum-insulated line () has an inner and an outer corrugated hose () which are separated from one another by an evacuated intermediate space (). One of the corrugated hoses is encased with a wound hose (). The wound hose () prevents the line () from becoming elongated when it is charged with pressure during the transport of a medium. The wound hose () furthermore protects the line against external mechanical loads or damage. The wound hose simultaneously protects the corrugated hoses against excessive bending.

Flexible vacuum-insulated line

A plug-in coupling for connecting a first to a second double-walled, vacuum-insulated cryogenic line includes a coupling plug and a coupling socket. The coupling plug has an inner and an outer pipe piece and a first connecting flange and is connected to the first cryogenic line. The coupling socket has an inner and an outer pipe piece and a second connecting flange and is connected to the second cryogenic line. In an assembled state of the plug-in coupling, the coupling plug has been plugged into an open annular gap in the coupling socket. The annular gap is surrounded both at its inner circumference and at its outer circumference by an insulating vacuum, whereby the thermal insulation of the plug-in coupling is improved. This construction makes possible a shorter design of the plug-in coupling, which, while achieving good thermal insulation, is space-saving and easy to handle.

Johnston coupling with additional vacuum enclosure

A plug-in coupling has a coupling plug and a coupling socket. The coupling plug has an inner and an outer pipe piece and a first attachment flange and is connected to the first cryogenic line. The coupling socket has an inner and an outer pipe piece and a second attachment flange and is connected to the second cryogenic line. A circular annular seal on the distal end of the coupling plug is of electrically insulating form. An insulating sleeve is arranged on the outer pipe piece of the coupling plug. An insulating disc is situated between the first and the second attachment flange when the coupling plug has been inserted into the coupling socket. The plug-in coupling realizes a galvanic is separation between the coupling plug and the coupling socket.

Johnston coupling with galvanic separation

A plug-in coupling for connecting a first double-walled vacuum-insulated cryogenic line to a second. The plug-in coupling has a coupling plug and a coupling socket. The coupling plug can be plugged into the coupling socket, these being retained in a plugged-together state by fixing means. A guide column is arranged on the coupling plug or the coupling socket. The guide column has arranged on it elastic means which, in the assembled state of the plug-in coupling, are subjected to stressing and which subject the coupling plug and/or coupling socket to an elastic force which strives to release the coupling plug and coupling socket from one another as soon as the fixing means no longer hold the coupling plug and coupling socket together. The elastic energy stored in the elastic means ensures that, in the event of an emergency, the coupling plug and coupling socket are quickly released from one another.

Quick-release Johnston coupling

A coupling arrangement () for connecting thermally insulated, fluid-conducting lines () has a coupling () comprising a first coupling part () and a second coupling part (), and connecting means () for connecting the two coupling parts (). A covering () surrounding the coupling () is provided, which covering, on both sides of the coupling (), in each case lies against the thermal insulation of the fluid-conducting lines (). A cavity () formed by the covering () is configured for thermal insulation between the coupling () and the exterior of the covering ().

Coupling for fluid-conducting lines

A device () for transferring a fluid from a mooring area to a ship is specified. The device () comprises an articulated supporting structure (), which has at least one first and one second support (), which are connected pivotably to one another by at least one pivot joint () and which each have a longitudinal axis, wherein the first support () is fixed on the mooring area in such a way that the longitudinal axis of said support can be rotated substantially vertically and the first support () can be rotated about the longitudinal axis thereof, and wherein the second support () is pivotable in a vertical plane. The device () furthermore comprises at least one guide element (), which is fixed on the supports () or on the at least one pivot joint (), and a first flexible line (), which is supported by means of the guide element () and is guided substantially in the vertical plane. The device furthermore comprises a second flexible line (), which is arranged substantially in a horizontal plane around the first support () and is connected to the first flexible line () by means of a rigid tube section () connected in a fixed manner to the first support ().

Device for transferring a fluid to a ship

A device for corrugating a metal pipe having a corrugation extending transversely of its longitudinal direction. The device has a ring-shaped corrugating head drivable by a first electric motor and is rotatable about its axis in the operating position and a ring-shaped corrugation disc, coupled to the ring-shaped corrugating head, projects radially inwardly from the corrugation head. The corrugation disc is mounted in the corrugation head so as to be adjustable in the radial direction. A support, coupled to the corrugation head, is arranged so as to also be rotatable about the axis of the corrugation head. An adjusting mechanism acting on the corrugation disc is mounted on the corrugation head. The adjusting mechanism serves for radially adjusting the corrugation disc and is adjustable by the support. The support is connected to a second electric motor serving for rotating the support about the axis (A) of the corrugation head.

Device for corrugating a pipe consisting of metal

A corrugating unit is used which presses a first corrugation into the pipe which is moved in its longitudinal direction through the corrugating device. The spacing between the wave peaks is subsequently reduced, for obtaining a second corrugation, by a clamping unit composed of two separately arranged clamping devices resting against the pipe. The pipe provided with a first corrugation is pressed continuously by the first clamping device against a fixed point realized by the second clamping device, which, in the position of operation, is arranged, in relation to the clamping device, in axial direction behind the first clamping device. Both clamping devices are removed cyclically from the pipe and are moved back into a new position in the opposite direction of the direction of movement of the pipe and, in this new position, again rest in the two different areas against the pipe.

Method and device for manufacturing a corrugated metal pipe

A method is provided for producing a pipe from a band which has a layer of a first metal and a layer of a second metal, the layers being metallurgically bonded to one another over the entire length of the band. Along the two longitudinal edges of the band, the first metal is removed from the second metal in strips which run over the entire length of the band. The band is formed into the open-seam pipe with the first metal located on the outside, and the abutting edges of the layer of the second metal are welded to one another forming a pipe which is closed all the way round. In the region of the weld seam, a layer of the first metal is then deposited on the second metal to produce a pipe with a layer of the first metal which is closed all the way round.

Method of producing metallic composite pipes

A device and a method for the positionally accurate arrangement of two material ends located opposite each other. The device includes two carriers with always one fixing device for each material end, wherein at least one of the two carriers is slidably guided relative to the second of the carriers, and at least the first carrier has a first adjusting member and a second adjusting member connected to the first adjusting member, wherein the adjusting members form a drive by means of which the first carrier is slidable against the second carrier.
