A flexible endoscope for insertion into the human body includes a flexible section arranged in a distal end region of the endoscope. The endoscope further includes a tip segment distally adjoining the flexible section, the tip segment being controllable by at least one tension cord. The flexible section is formed by means of an investment composition that is mechanically anchored to the tip segment and/or a proximal counter bearing, and the investment compound is elastically deformable.

A flexible endoscope for insertion into the human body includes a flexible section arranged in a distal end region of the endoscope. The endoscope further includes a tip segment distally adjoining the flexible section, the tip segment being controllable by at least one tension cord. A skeleton is formed in a flexible controllable section with guide elements that are movable relative to one another, each of which guides at least one tension cord laterally.

A method of applying at least one coating of at least one electrically insulating polymer to an applicator for currents, especially HF currents in surgery, the coating is produced by electrophoretic deposition from a suspension of the polymer in at least one organic solvent, wherein the applicators thus coated are especially clamps, pairs of tweezers or pairs of scissors which are used in the bipolar application technique of HF surgery. The invention relates to a sensor fuel cell that can be activated by a first substance (O) in its environment. The sensor fuel cell includes a catalytically active anode, a cathode that has a cathode surface at least partially exposed to the environment, and a proton-conductive membrane located between the anode and the cathode so as to convey protons through from the anode to the cathode. An anode surface of the anode is at least partially exposed to the environment for access of at least one second substance (H) from the environment to the anode. Such a disposition enables access of a first reactant in the form for example of oxygen from the ambient air to the cathode, and additionally access of a second reactant in the form for example of hydrogen from the ambient air to the free surface of the anode.

In a method for producing a proton-conductive, structured electrolyte membrane, particularly for a fuel cell, a coating, which comprises at least one ion-conductive cross-linking component having at least one acid group and at least one photoactive substances interacting therewith, is applied onto a solid body surface. The coating is optically masked in that at least one region of the coating, in which the electrolyte membrane is supposed to be, is exposed such that the cross-linking component cross-links with the photoactive substances to form a polymer and/or copolymer network adhering to the solid body surface. At least one unexposed region of the coating is removed in order to structure the electrolyte membrane.

A process for producing a multiplicity of microfluidic arrangements from a plate-shaped composite structure and an atomiser which is provided with such nozzle arrangements is proposed. Each arrangement has a groove structure which forms flow channels and the dimensions of which are in the micrometer range. The lines for optional subsequent mechanical separation of bridging groove structures are joined to each other and are partly or completely filled with a filling medium before mechanical machining. The medium is selected so that it is not removed from the groove structures either by the mechanical machining or by aids used during mechanical machining. Afterwards, however, the filling medium is removed from the groove structures by suitable measures. The groove structures are thereby prevented from becoming blocked due to mechanical contaminants.
