The invention relates to a pneumatic needling device for the local surface treatment, more particularly fastening, of components, comprising a first and a second needle () that can move in a needle direction; a first and a second piston chamber () for applying pneumatic pressure to the first and second needles in the needle direction; a pressure supply () that can be connected to and disconnected from the piston chambers, more particularly as a result of a movement of the needles in the needling device; a pressure recording means () for measuring pressure fluctuations in the piston chambers; and a control means () designed to carry out a reaction on the basis of the measured pressure fluctuations.

Pneumatic needling device

A method and device for the surface peening, especially ultrasonic shot-peening, of at least one partial element of a component of a gas turbine, is disclosed. The partial element, e.g., a sealing fin, and at least one surface of a vibration device impinging the blasting material are positioned relative to each other at an angle between 70&#xb0; and 90&#xb0; based on the direction of extension of the sealing fin.

Device and method for the surface peening of a component of a gas turbine

A device for surface blasting, e.g., for ultrasonic shot blasting, components, e.g., gas turbine components, includes at least one vibrator having an oscillating surface, e.g., having at least one ultrasonic sonotrode, the or each oscillating surface of the or each vibrator being adjoined by a machining chamber for receiving a section to be blasted of the component to be machined. The machining chamber is bounded in its cross-section by at least three sides, e.g., by at least two substantially vertical sides and by at least one substantially horizontal side. At least the substantially vertical sides of the machining chamber are formed by oscillating surfaces of in each case one vibrator.

Device for surface blasting component

An apparatus for surface blasting gas turbine blades in the area of their blade roots includes a vibrator with an oscillating surface oriented so that the oscillating surface extends essentially in the horizontal direction. A processing chamber for receiving the blade root adjoins the oscillating surface. The processing chamber is embodied such that the turbine blade is orientable, during the blasting, with a profiled support surface of the blade root extending at least temporarily essentially parallel to the oscillating surface of the vibrator.

Method and device for surface blasting gas turbine blades in the area of the roots thereof

An etch solution for the removal of metallic layers, which provide protection against corrosion by hot gases, and of deposits resulting from hot gas reactions on turbine blades in power units comprising a salt solution and an inhibitor. The salt solution consists of a hydrogen sulfate in the amount of 5 to 45% by weight and the inhibitor is present in the amount of 0.5 to 10% by weight. The total amount of the hydrogen sulfate and inhibitor is present with at least 50% by weight of water based on the total etch solution. Using this etch solution, layers preferably comprising MCrAlY are removed from turbine blades comprised of alloys of Ti, Co or Ni.
