A method for adjusting an optical system, and to an adjustment system for use in an optical system where the adjustment system comprises a predetermined reference object having known visible reference object features, a sensor system, a data evaluation module and an image processor. The data evaluation module receives captured image data and determines at least two visible reference object features of the predetermined reference object arranged in a field of view, and determines position data containing a position deviation of an image of the object to be examined or, in the case of a stereoscopic optical system, of a first and second half-image of the object to be examined. The image processor ascertains an optical distortion of the visible reference object features and sets a corresponding geometric rectification of received image data.

Alignment system

A video endoscopic device has a camera head and two parallel optical arrangements, each with optical components, arranged coaxially with one another along a common first optical axis of the optical components of a respective optical arrangement and in the interior of an endoscope shaft. The optical components transmit an optical image from a distal end of the respective optical arrangement to a proximal end of the respective optical arrangement. The camera head contains at least one image sensor comprising a recording plane and at least two projection objectives, each having a second optical axis and arranged to project an image onto the image sensor. The optical arrangements comprise a collimating optical unit for generating an at least approximately parallel beam path at the outlet of the respective optical arrangement. The respective collimating optical unit has a third optical axis arranged coaxially with the optical components of the optical arrangements.

Video endoscopic device

An adapter for the releasable and relockable coupling of an endoscope with a camera head has an inner wall and an outer wall that are connected with one another via a connecting wall extending between the inner wall and outer wall at or near their first axial ends, and which inner wall and outer wall are arranged with at least a lateral separation from one another, so that an open clearance results between the inner wall and outer wall on a second axial side that is situated opposite the first axial ends. Furthermore, the adapter comprises a coupling wall that seals a clearance enclosed by the inner wall at or near a second axial end of the inner wall, such that the clearance that is enclosed by the inner wall is open at a first axial side that is situated opposite the second axial end of the inner wall.
