A brake disc cover for a brake disc of a disc brake is provided, which is disposed on a component of a vehicle that is rotationally fixed during travel and which encloses at least one section of a circumferential edge of the brake disc preferably in a trough-like fashion. Two side wall areas are located on axial side sections of the brake disc to be covered that are directly opposite each other, wherein the side wall areas cover at least a partial area of the axial sides of the brake disc. A base wall area connects the side wall areas, which base wall area covers the circumferential edge of the brake disc. The side wall areas are oriented at an angle to each other such that the distance between the two side wall areas decreases radially from the inner circumferential edge of the brake disc cover. The brake disc cover has a surface contour that does not follow mathematical symmetry.

The invention relates to a brake disc () having a friction ring () made of a frictional pair () connected to each other by means of ribs (), having a pot () and expansion elements () disposed radially to the pot (), preferably at the outer circumference of the pot (), and the ends thereof facing away from the pot () are connected to the friction ring (). At least one expansion element () at least partially forms a rib () for connecting the friction pair (). The invention further relates to a method for producing such a brake disc (), wherein expansion elements () are connected by casting to a friction ring () and/or to a pot (). The friction ring () and/or the pot () comprise at least one protective element after being connected, wherein the friction ring () and/or the pot () is cast in a single piece with the protective element.

A brake disk has a brake disk friction ring and a brake disk chamber that includes a chamber ring and expansion elements arranged radially on the chamber ring, and connected on their ends facing away from the chamber ring to the brake disc friction ring in a non-floating, positive manner in the radial direction. The expansion elements are longer than the shortest distance between the chamber ring and the brake disc friction ring and are radially elastic so as to adapt to thermal deformation of the brake disc friction ring.
