The invention is characterized in that a user profile for a program-controlled device is updated on a regular basis. The program is updated in accordance with said user profile. One advantage of the invention lies in the fact that peak loads of communication networks caused by the simultaneous transmission of program updates are avoided.

Method for the transmission of program updates for program-controlled devices in a communication network

There is described a method, a terminal device, and a communication system for programming a button of a communication terminal device whereby a user input on the communication terminal device activates an application on a data processing device associated with the communication terminal device. The activated application triggers the display of button programming information for selection for a respective button programming. The selection of one of the displayed button programming information messages on the data processing device triggers the assignment of the associated button programming to the button on the communication terminal device.

A method, a detection device and a server device for evaluation of a communication arriving via a connecting line at the communication device are provided. Communication information which can be read or determined from the incoming communication is detected by the detection device which is coupled between the connecting line and the communication device, and is associated solely with the communication device. Furthermore, the detection device checks whether the detected communication information matches predeterminable data pattern information, and/or whether a response message to be initiated by the incoming communication from the communication device via the connecting line is absent. If the check result is positive, the detected communication information is stored, and is read out during the course of a central evaluation process carried out by the server device.

A first list and a second list of identifications are established, with which a telemarketing advertisement or no undesirable telemarketing advertisement is expected. The identification of the caller an incoming call is compared to the identifications in the list. If the identification of the call is not found in the lists, the call is routed to a call processing which enables the reception of a telemarketing advertisement to ascertained and, based on the result of that determination, the lists are correspondingly updated. The calls for which the identification of the caller is recorded in the second list are routed to the called party and the calls for which the identification of the caller is recorded in the first list are rejected. Such protection against telemarketing is particularly efficient in the context of an industrial operation with numerous human resources and for lines on which several calls can be simultaneously carried.
