A bearing includes a first ring, a second ring and a plurality of rolling elements between the first and second rings. The first ring is a split ring formed of a first ring part and a second ring part that meet at a joint region, and each of the ring parts includes a recess that extends axially into the respective ring part from the joint region. A cylindrical seal is disposed in the recess of the first ring part and extends across the joint into the recess of the second ring part.

Bearing

A rolling-element bearing cage includes a first side ring and a second side ring connected to the first side ring by a plurality of bridges defining a plurality of pockets configured to receive a rolling-element. The first side ring includes a joint at which the first side ring is configured to be opened to increase a diameter of the first side ring, and the first side ring and the second side ring and the plurality of bridges are made of steel and an outer diameter of the second side ring is greater than 500 mm.

Roller bearing cage and method for mounting a roller bearing cage

A bearing having grease lubrication includes a first ring and a second ring. A plurality of screw holes axially extend through the first ring. A first axial end of the first ring is affixed to a housing by a plurality of screws extending from the housing into the respective screw holes. A first bore is defined in the first ring adjacent to a second axial end of the first ring. The first bore intersects and fluidly communicates with one of the screw holes such that grease is dischargeable therethrough.

Grease passage in flanged bearings

A bearing cage for a rolling-element bearing includes a plurality of bearing cage segments configured to receive rolling elements in rolling-element pockets. Also included is at least one assembly wire, and each of the cage segments includes a coupling arrangement configured to thread the bearing cage segment onto the at least one assembly wire such that at least one rolling-element pocket is formed by two of the plurality of bearing cage segments adjacent in the circumferential direction that are threaded on the assembly wire. The bearing cage also includes an assembly device configured to convey an end of the assembly wire from an installation position to an axially far-side coupling arrangement of a bearing cage segment, through the axially far-side coupling arrangement of all bearing cage segments located on a bearing inner ring, and back again towards the installation position.

Bearing cage, bearing cage segment, and method for assembling the bearing cage

A part-bearing-ring of a rolling-element bearing includes first and second assembly bores on its end surface, and the second assembly bore has a larger diameter than the first assembly bore so that it can accommodate a securing sleeve. The second assembly bore may include an internal thread for attaching the securing sleeve. Also a bearing ring formed of two part-bearing-rings and a securing sleeve and a method of installing a bearing ring.

Part-bearing-ring, securing sleeve, rolling-element bearing, and mounting method

A bearing support is configured to retain at least two bearings disposed closely adjacent to each other in a parallel relationship. Each bearing includes a bearing outer ring having a cylindrical outer circumferential surface. The bearing support comprises at least first and second portions that are connected together. The first portion is formed as a component that has cylindrical openings configured to receive or seat the respective bearing outer rings and to surround the entire circumference of the respective bearing outer ring. The second portion is formed as a support plate. A bearing assembly includes the bearing support with a bearing seated in each of the respective cylindrical openings.

Bearing support

A bearing assembly comprises at least two adjacently-disposed bearings. Each bearing includes a bearing outer ring having a cylindrical outer circumferential surface. A bearing support retains the at least two bearings such that respective rotational axes of the at least two bearings extend in parallel. A spacer has at least two cylindrical openings configured to receive the respective cylindrical outer circumferential surfaces of the bearing outer rings such that a circumferential inner surface of each opening covers at least a portion of a width of the bearing outer ring received therein and surrounds an entire circumference of the bearing outer ring received therein. The bearing support is not fixedly connected to the spacer.

Bearing arrangement

An injection molding tool for producing a cage for a linear bearing in which several rolling elements are positioned in the cage in the direction of its longitudinal extent in the assembled state includes two tool halves each provided with protrusions. The protrusions extend into the cavity of the tool during the injection molding process and form a portion of a receiver pocket for receiving a rolling element. To make the injection molding process simple and economical, the protrusions are fixedly connected with the tool halves, with the protrusions being are shaped in such a way that, when acting together, they form holding elements for retaining the rolling elements in the receiver pockets in the cage when the injection molding tool is closed. The holding elements are thus integrated into the basic geometry of the cage. A rolling bearing cage for a linear bearing is provided with a plurality of receiver pockets for holding rolling elements next to each other in a manner arranged along the longitudinal extent of the bearing. The cage is also provided with holding elements integrated into the basic geometry of the cage for retaining the rolling elements within the receiving pockets.

Injection molding tool for producing a rolling bearing cage for a linear bearing

Linear guide assembly comprising at least two guide rails, which are moveable in the longitudinal direction with respect to each other and have prismatic shaped raceways, a plurality of rolling elements guided in a cage, at least one gear wheel for the positive guidance of the cage is connected to the cage, which wheel engages in toothed racks, each of which is connected to a guide rail, the gear wheel comprising a disk, having axial projections distributed around the periphery at least one of the end surfaces and rows of uniformly spaced recesses, into which the projections on the disk can engage.

Linear guide assembly with positively guided cage

A bearing unit includes a housing provided with a cylindrical bore and a linear bearing positioned within the cylindrical bore. The linear bearing includes a cage in which are arranged a plurality of endless ball rows each defined by a longitudinally extending ball track for load-bearing balls, a longitudinally extending return track for non-load-bearing balls, and deflection tracks connecting ends of the longitudinally extending ball track and the longitudinally extending return track. Each longitudinally extending ball track opens radially outwardly with a track plate being arranged to cover the longitudinally extending ball track for the load-bearing balls. The cylindrical bore of the housing is provided with a plurality of recesses each located in an area of the cylindrical bore facing one axial end of one of the track plates to permit radial deflection of the one axial end of the track plate.

Bearing unit including linear bearing

Linear guide assembly comprising at least two guide rails, which are movable in the longitudinal direction with respect to each other having similarly shaped raceways, a plurality rolling elements, guided in a cage, at least one gear wheel connected to the cage for the positive guidance of the cage, which wheel engages in toothed racks or the like, each of which is connected to a guide rail, said gear wheel consisting of a disk, having an external circumference which is provided with uniformly distributed axial rolling elements, which project slightly beyond the disk, and wherein said recesses, correspond to the external shape of the rolling elements and into which the rolling elements can engage, are provided equal distances apart directly in the guide rails.

A radial seal useful in linear ball bearings and designed to be secured during transportation as well as during operation of the bearing includes an arcuate disk portion having opposite sides. An arcuate projection is provided on each side of the disk portion, at least one of which is axially oriented. The projections are designed to have different diameters. This produces a stepped seating surface along the outside diameter of the radial seal that effects a reliable seating of the radial seal in the linear ball bearing. The radial seal can also be designed with two axially oriented projections disposed at different diameters on one side of the disk portion for projecting into an annular groove on the frontal face of the outer ring of the linear ball bearing. By constructing the projections with circumferential outer faces that slightly diverge in a cone-shaped manner, the projections further inhibit the seal from falling out of the groove.

Radial seal for ball bearing

A ball bearing for permitting longitudinal movements with respect to a shaft includes a cage provided with at least two longitudinally extending guide tracks having opposite ends that are connected by semicircular turn around tracks. A plurality of balls are positioned in the guide tracks, with balls positioned in one of the guide tracks forming load-bearing balls and balls positioned in another one of the guide tracks forming non-load-bearing balls. The longitudinally extending guide track for the load-bearing balls is provided with a slit that is open radially inwardly for passage of the balls in a direction radially inwardly towards the shaft. The longitudinally extending guide track for the non-load-bearing balls has an interior wall which, in cross-section, possesses at least two substantially diametrically opposed first sections having a circular contour and at least two substantially diametrically opposed second sections laterally offset from the first sections and having a base that is set back from the circular contour.
