A vibration sensor for direct or indirect mounting on a vibrating component such as an engine block. The vibration sensor has a housing and a pressure sleeve, which includes a central bore, a cylindrical area and a flange-like edge. A piezoelectric disk is situated between two contact disks. A seismic mass acts on piezoelectric disk by way of a spring element and a threaded ring. Insulating disks are situated on the sides of the contact disks facing away from the piezoelectric disk. The insulating disks have an inside diameter that is less than an outside diameter of the cylindrical area of the pressure sleeve.

In devices for measuring the mass of aspirated air of an internal combustion engine, for instance, via a line, it is already known to provide a tubular body inside this line and to provide a temperature-dependent measuring element inside the tubular body. In order that dirt particles and liquid droplets entrained by the aspirated air will be kept away from the measuring element, in accordance with the invention, a protective screen is disposed inside the tubular body, upstream of the measuring element; the screen extends in inclined fashion in the flow direction, and dirt particles and liquid droplets are deposited on it and carried to a downstream end of the protective screen, so that via an outflow opening they can reach the inner conduit wall of the tubular body and be made to bypass the measuring element.

Device for measuring at least one parameter of a flowing medium

A device for measuring at least one parameter of a medium flowing in a line, particularly the intake-air volume of an internal combustion engine. Liquid particles contained in the line act upon a measuring element and influence a characteristic curve of the measuring element which is used to determine parameters of the flowing medium. The characteristic curve of the measuring element can be changed disadvantageously by solid-matter particles. In order to reduce the action of solid-matter particles on the measuring element, a protective grating is proposed in which side walls of channels of the protective grating form various angles of intersection with the flow direction. Solid-matter particles are thereby diverted into a path of motion around the measuring element.

A fuel injector-pressure sensor combination for fuel injection systems for direct injection of fuel into the combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine and for measurement of the pressure in the combustion chamber includes a piezoelectric or magnetostrictive element. The piezoelectric or magnetostrictive element is positively connected with a valve closer which interacts with a valve seat face to form a sealing seat. In addition, an electronic control and analysis circuit is provided which activates the piezoelectric or magnetostrictive element during a fuel injection phase in such a way that the valve closer activated by the piezoelectric or magnetostrictive element lifts off from the valve seat face and opens the seat. During a pressure measurement phase, the control and analysis circuit detects a pressure in the combustion chamber transmitted from the valve closer to the piezoelectric or magnetostrictive element and converted by the latter into an electric signal.

A vibration transducer has a pressure sleeve fastenable directly or indirectly on a structural component part causing vibrations, a sensor element which is held at the pressure sleeve on a radial outer side with an axial pretensioning, a plurality of contact disks including at least one contact disk provided with a radial inclination so as to form a plate spring for generating the axial pretensioning of the sensor element, and a seismic mass provided with an internal thread and screwable directly to the pressure sleeve for clamping the sensor element.

A vibration pickup has a pressure sleeve which is directly or indirectly mountable on a component causing vibration, a seismic mass, a sensor element arranged under the seismic mass and held with an axial pretensioning radially outwardly on the pressure sleeve and is electrically contactable, the seismic mass in non-mounted condition abutting only partially against an arrangement with the sensor element while in predetermined ring-shaped regions a distance is available to the arrangement with the sensor element, and after mounting with covering of the distance a substantially plane abutment of the seismic mass against the arrangement with the sensor element with an axial pretensioning is produced.

Vibration pickup with a pressure sleeve

A vibration pickup has a pressure sleeve mountable directly or indirectly on a component causing vibrations, a spring, a sensor element which is held radially outwardly on the pressure sleeve with an axial tensioning by the spring and is electrically contactable, a wedge element provided between an inner periphery of the spring and an outer wall of the pressure sleeve, the wedge element being introduced axially with its wedge-shaped tipped side and radially clamps the spring in an end position and also holds components with the sensor element under an axial tensioning.

A vibration pick-up with a pressure sleeve is mounted by a mounting element extending through a central opening of the pressure sleeve. The pressure sleeve is clamped with an abutment surface on a component which causes vibrations. A threaded ring with a spring or a welded spring provided on the pressure sleeve holds a seismic mass under the pressure of the spring, and a detection element formed for example as a piezo-ceramic disk is arranged. The pressure sleeve has extensions with depressions which, in combination with a flanged insertion disk, form a seal labyrinth.

A pressure sleeve for a vibration pickup, has a body part with a central opening for a mounting element and a supporting surface to be placed on a component causing vibrations, a detecting element arranged radially outwardly on the body part with an axial pretensioning, a spring providing the axial pretensioning of the detecting elements, and an abutment provided on the body part for the spring, the abutment including at least two curved portions provided on an outer peripheral of the body part and formed by wedging of a material of the body part.

Pressure sleeve

In a vibration pick-up having a pressure sleeve with a central opening for a mounting element and a supporting surface to be supported on a component to cause vibrations, a detection member is pre-tensioned in an axial direction with a disk spring radially outwardly of the pressure sleeve, and the disk spring is connected with the pressure sleeve by a laser welding seam over a whole periphery of the pressure sleeve.

Vibration pick-up and method of producing the same

In a pressure sleeve in particular a vibration pickup, an abutment surface is formed as a circumferential ring at a location radially spaced from a central point. Therefore, the pressure sleeve can be fully pressed against the structure to be monitored by a mounting screw. Therefore a sensor provided with the pressure sleeve can approximately linearily extending and disturbance measuring signals.
