A slotted guide ring for a piston-cylinder unit has a first free end portion and a second free end portion, which are arranged at a distance from one another in the circumferential direction of the guide ring, forming an axial through gap, and the end faces of which are arranged parallel to one another or substantially parallel to one another. In their projection on the central axis Z, the end faces enclose an acute angle α with the central axis Z of 15°≤α≤75°. On the guide side, a lubricant channel is formed which extends from the first free end portion to the second free end portion and which is open on both sides towards the axial through gap. The invention further relates to a piston-cylinder unit with such a guide ring.

A seal assembly includes a first and second machine element, a seal and a support ring. The support ring has a first side edge facing a high-pressure side which is partially convexly curved, formed obliquely or is partially formed at an acute angle relative to a movement axis of the two machine elements. The seal has a retaining portion and a primary sealing lip extending from the retaining portion on the high-pressure side and abuts in a dynamically sealing manner against a sealing surface of the second machine element. The primary sealing lip directly abuts and is supported over the majority of its longitudinal extent on the first side edge of the support ring on the low-pressure side. The retaining section of the seal is held clamped between the support ring and the first machine element and abuts the first machine element in a statically or indirectly statically sealing manner.

Seal assembly

A seal arrangement includes a first and a second machine part which are arranged spaced apart from one another with the formation of a sealing gap and can be moved relative to one another about a movement axis. A seal element with a base section is arranged on or in a seal holding structure of one of the two machine parts. A sealing head bears in a dynamically sealing manner by way of a sealing section against a sealing surface of the respective other machine part in order to seal a high-pressure side from a low-pressure side. The seal element on the high-pressure side has at least one flow element, wherein during relative movement of the two machine parts fluid on the high-pressure side in the area of the sealing section of flows onto the sealing head.

A rotary seal seals a high-pressure region from a low-pressure region and has an assembly sleeve made of a rubber elastic material and at least one pressure-activatable rotary seal element with a seal edge. When a specified differential pressure value is exceeded, the seal edge of the rotary seal element rests sealingly against the seal surface of a machine part, thereby directly displacing a support element elastically supported on the rubber elastic assembly sleeve. When the specified differential pressure value is undershot, the support element is moved rearwards axially in the direction of the high-pressure region such that the seal edge of the rotary seal element is moved backwards into the seal edge rest position in which the rotary seal element lies against the seal surface without contact surface pressure or substantially without contact surface pressure or is arranged at a distance from the seal surface.

Pressure-activatable rotary seal and rotary seal assembly

A seal arrangement includes a first and a second machine part able to move relative to each other about a movement axis and forming a sealing gap. A seal element has a base section retained on a seal retaining groove structure of one of the two machine parts, and has a sealing head that bears with a sealing section in a dynamically sealing manner against a sealing face of the respective other machine part sealing a high-pressure side, that can be charged with pressurized fluid, of the sealing gap with respect to a low-pressure side of the sealing gap. The sealing head and the base section are connected by an elastically deformable connection section of the seal element, which has a non-linear cross-sectional profile and multiple regions of weakened material arranged spaced apart from one another in sequence, preferably regularly, in the circumferential direction of the seal element.

Seal arrangement with improved lubrication behavior

A seal arrangement includes first and second machine parts rotationally movable and forming a sealing gap. A radial shaft seal ring seals a high pressure side against a low pressure side. A base section held on a sealing holding structure of the first machine part has a sealing head contacting the sealing surface of the second machine part. The sealing surface has a high and low pressure first sealing surface sections. The first sealing surface section extends away from the sealing holding structure forming an acute angle. The sealing head contacts the first sealing section when an operating pressure is applied to the high pressure side, said operating pressure being smaller than a specified limit operating pressure value. The second sealing surface section forms an axial stop for the sealing head when an operating pressure is applied to the high pressure side being at least the limit operating pressure value.

Seal arrangement

A seal arrangement includes a first and a second machine element have a sealing gap and are movable in translation relative to one another. A seal element has a sealing lip arranged in a holding groove in the first machine element and which serves to seal off a low-pressure and high-pressure region. A rubber-elastically deformable preloading element in the holding groove serves to preload the seal element. At least one elastically deformable damping member is arranged between a low-pressure side groove flank and the seal element. A free space is formed between the damping member and the sealing surface. The damping member is compressed in the axial direction by the seal element when the high-pressure region is subjected to pressure and can be deformed freely into the free space. The damping member is of a material having a lower elasticity modulus than the seal element.

A rotary seal arrangement has a rotatably mounted machine part and a machine part that forms a bearing for the rotatably mounted machine part. One of the machine parts forms a seal accommodating structure and the other one of the machine parts has a surface forming a sealing surface. At least one rotary seal is arranged in the seal accommodating structure. The rotary seal seals off a high-pressure area from a low-pressure area between the machine parts.

Rotary sealing arrangement

A sealing arrangement includes a first and a second machine part movable relative to each other along a motional axis. A sealing element is arranged in a press fit in a plurality of grooves of a seal-holding structure of the first machine part. A sealing lip of the sealing element extends away from the seal-holding structure in the axial direction. A pretensioning element is disposed in a retaining groove of the first machine part. The sealing lip is pretensioned against a sealing surface of the second machine part in order to seal off a high-pressure region. The retaining groove has a wedge guide surface for the pretensioning element, which wedge guide surface is arranged running obliquely at an angle &#x3b1;, where &#x3b1;&#x3c;90&#xb0;, to the motional axis. The pretensioning element is movable against and along the wedge guide surface to pretension the sealing lip against the sealing surface.

A sealing system is between two components, which are translatorily movable relative to each other along a motional axis for sealing off a high-pressure side from a low-pressure side. The sealing system includes pressure relief elements. The use of such a sealing system produces an intermediate-space pressure cascade.

Sealing arrangement

In a sealing system () between two mutually moving components () for sealing a high pressure side (H) with respect to a low pressure side (N), a sealing configuration () is provided in a first annular groove () at the high pressure side and with one or more pressure relief elements () being disposed in second annular grooves () each pressure relief element () having a second sealing ring () with a flat pressure gradient. The hydrodynamic leak rate for each pressure relief element () is chosen in such a fashion that a certain hydraulic pressure obtains in each intermediate region (Z, Z). The sealing system in accordance with the invention () has, in addition to the hydro dynamic transport capability of the sealing rings (), a hydrostatic relief capability by means of connecting channels () provided in the pressure relief elements () which act as check valves for pressure relief of an intermediate region (Z) in the event of a rise in the intermediate region pressure above intermediate region pressure at the high pressure side of the next intermediate pressure region plus a corresponding pressure increase quantity (FIG.).

A high-pressure sealing arrangement is provided for sealing a gap () between two concentric machine parts () which can be moved relative to each other, of which a first machine part () comprises a groove () and a second machine part () comprises an outer peripheral surface () opposite the groove (). A sealing ring () of an extrusion-resistant material and a tensioning ring () of an elastomeric material are provided in the groove (). A shaped section of the sealing ring () on the low-pressure side can be deflected towards the outer peripheral surface () under fluid pressure load. When the pressure decreases, the pressure-dependent deflection of the sealing ring () automatically returns towards the initial, unpressurized state of the sealing ring ().
