A safety seat for land vehicles, aircraft and watercraft, including a sitting portion secured to two vertical support straps attached to a vehicle and disposed in the vicinity of the rear edge of the sitting portion. Each support strap is a strap sling stretched between vertically spaced-apart anchors on the vehicle and includes a front strap facing the seating portion and a rear strap spaced therefrom. A transverse rod near the rear sitting portion edge reaches into the intermediate space between front and rear straps and is secured in closed fixed loops situated on the rear straps. The sitting portion is braced against the strap slings via supports pivotably connected to side rods of the sitting portion and extending at an angle below the sitting portion to the straps slings. The supports, via a transverse bracing disposed at their lower ends, reach into the intermediate space between front and rear straps. This transverse bracing is supported in loose loops on the rear straps that permit vertical movement of the transverse bracing.

Safety seat having a vertically acting, impact-dampening suspension

A textile belt strap, especially for use in personnel safety devices in land vehicles, aircraft and watercraft. At least one seam is provided on the belt strap for representation of loading of the belt strap that occurs. The seam extends in a longitudinal direction of the belt strap over a portion thereof, and is comprised of an upper thread disposed on one side of the belt strap and a lower thread disposed on the other side of the belt strap. Respective transverse seams are fixedly connected with the belt strap for delimiting opposite ends of the seam. An interlocking of the upper thread and the louver thread is provided externally of the belt strap such that either the upper thread or the lower thread has a linear length or extension between the transverse seams that delimit the seam.

A safety seat for land vehicles, aircraft or vessels, comprising a harness for suspension from fixed points of a vehicle and for supporting a vehicle occupant. Belt retractors are disposed at the fixed vehicle points, and fabric supporting belts extend from the harness to the retractors, which pretension the belts in a direction of retraction. A manually operable switching device allows the belt retractors to be switched into a free running state, a blocking state, or a positioning state. The free running state permits free withdrawal of the belts in a direction opposite to the pretension. The blocking state effects a complete blocking of the belts in both the withdrawal and the retraction directions. The positioning state effects blocking of the belts in only the withdrawal direction.

Safety seat, suspended in a land vehicle, aircraft or vessel

A safety seat for land, air and sea vehicles is provided. The safety seat has a safety belt harness and can be secured between the floor and ceiling of a vehicle via securement straps provided above and below the seat. The safety belt harness comprises two lap belts and two shoulder belts that extend from the lap belts. Also provided is an activating device that, as an extension of the shoulder belts, is guided below a seat portion to the entry region thereof. A respective tensioning strap is yieldingly disposed between the shoulder belts and the front securement straps.

A safety seat built into a land, air or sea vehicle is provided. A structure is fixed to the vehicle and comprises vertically disposed side components that are anchored at seat-width intervals. A safety belt member is secured to the structure and has two shoulder belts and two lap belts that are joined at a fastener. A seat belt extends transversely between the side components and upwardly there along and in an upper region of the back area of the safety seat is connected to each side component. The two shoulder belts cross one another between the side components as they extend from a connection in the vicinity of a respective side component to the other side component and then to the fastener. Back belts are provided as support belts and extend from the seat belt, parallel to the side components, upwardly to the shoulder belts, where they are connected.

Safety seat for land, air and sea vehicles

A parachute for decelerating an object is provided which includes a parachute canopy having an apex and a base and rigging lines attached to the base and attached to the object. The parachute canopy and the rigging lines are configured as a reefed pack with the parachute canopy being folded into a plurality of concentric folds one upon the other from the base to the apex across the full height of the parachute canopy. The parachute may also include a plurality of control lines associated with respective ones of the concentric folds of the parachute canopy to form therewith individual deployment zones. A control apparatus for controlling the targeted release of the folds controls line cutters to cut the respective control lines associated with the individual deployment zone to be deployed.

For improving a method for rescuing a person sitting in an ejection seat that has ejected from an aircraft in an emergency, wherein depending on data collected by measuring apparatus arranged on the ejection seat a control device initiates deployment of stabilizing and/or braking parachutes attached to the seat and furthermore initiates separation of the person from the ejection seat, it is provided that while the connection between aircraft and ejection seat exists, current flight data for the aircraft are fed via a data bus to an ejection seat computer situated on the ejection seat and once the ejection seat has separated from the aircraft the movement data for the ejection seat in space are collected and forwarded to the ejection seat computer by a navigation platform attached to the ejection seat and, that the relevant flight data for the ejection seat are calculated in the ejection seat computer starting with flight position data for the aircraft at the time the ejection seat separated and when pre-established limits are met the stabilizing and/or braking parachutes are deployed and/or the seat/person separation is initiated.

In the quick-release lock for a parachute, a measuring device (1, 2) is used for continuously measuring the distance of the parachutist from the surface on which he intends to land. In this arrangement, the measured distance values are repeatedly compared with predetermined values in a comparing device (3, 4, 7) during the descent. Only if the measured values agree with the predetermined values during the last section of the descent during, which the comparisons are carried out, is the parachute automatically released from the load, for example a person, when the distance 0 is reached.

The compressed-gas device for the life-saving services which can be activated by water, more especially the automatic separating coupling for parachutes, comprises a channel (9) and two detector chambers (10, 11) which, via openings (12, 13), are connected to the channel (9) and, via openings (14, 15), are connected to one respective opposite outer surface (16, 17) of the device. The cross-section of the outwardly directed openings (14, 15) is larger than that of the connection openings (12, 13) to the channel (9). Only when the measuring block (2) is completely immersed in water are three pairs of electrodes (18, 19; 20, 21; 22, 23) bridged by water so that a fuel-gas charge is ignited via an electric circuit (7) with the aid of an igniter (8) (FIG. 2).
