Among other things, a method for transporting radiation to a body region is described, wherein, in a first step, a canal is formed up to the body region to be irradiated and wherein, in a second step, an applicator () which is fitted to the diameter of the canal is introduced into the canal in order to guide a probe tip. Advantageously, applicator () is formed for use with a radiation therapy device for producing a defined radiation dose for irradiating a body region, whereby applicator () has a base body () with a foot region () for the uptake of at least one component of a radiation therapy device (), a cylindrical guide region () connecting thereto for the uptake of a probe tip of a radiation therapy device, whereby a transition region () is formed between the foot region () and the guide region (), as well as a head region (), which is formed at the distal end () of base body (). The method can be utilized especially for the treatment of tumors in the vertebral column.

Method for transporting radiation, applicator as well as radiation therapy device

A drape () for a surgical microscope () is attached to the surgical microscope () with a holding device () in the region of the surgical microscope main objective (). The holding device () can accommodate a cover element (). A tongue-shaped section is provided on the holding device () which applies a spring force to an outer peripheral surface of the surgical microscope main objective () when the holding device is arranged on the surgical microscope main objective () so that the holding device is held force-tight and friction-tight on the surgical microscope main objective. The cover element () can be inserted laterally into the holding device ().
