A method for controlling a load-handling crane, to the load-bearing means of which a handling device is secured, wherein a sensor system ascertains position data of a part secured to the load-bearing means, and a controller is connected to the sensor system in a signal-transmitting manner and is configured to specify, on the basis of the position data, a travel direction for a control command, generated by the controller, for at least one travel drive of the crane, in particular a trolley drive and/or a crane drive. The aim of the invention is to increase efficiency and ergonomics during load-handling operation. This aim is achieved in that at least one identification feature is attached to the handling device, and the at least one marking element is detected by the sensor system, and is analyzed. The invention also relates to a load-handling crane configured to perform such a method.

A control method for a balancing lifting gear which includes a lifting motor that can be actuated by a controller and uses a control handle with a force sensor to lift and lower a load-supporting device. In a 'Balance' operating mode, the load-supporting device, with or without a picked-up load, is raised or lowered by the controller in response to a force applied by an operator. In order to ensure disturbance-free handling of a load when removing or attaching a load, a 'Pick-up' operating mode or an &#x201c;Assemble&#x201d; operating mode is selected, in which the load-supporting device is moved independently without the influence of the force of the operator by the controller in the lifting or lowering direction in dependence upon the signals determined by the force sensor. The invention relates to a circuit arrangement comprising a hoist controller () of a hoist (), a control pendant () having an emergency stop switch (), and a control line () which electrically connects the hoist controller () to the control pendant () and has a control voltage applied thereto. An angle measuring device used for measuring the pendulum angle of a cable of a lifting device comprising connection components which utilize measurement value pick-ups and are connected via a cardanic-type joint to axles which are arranged at right angles to one another. To attain high precision of discrimination in measurement, the measurement value pick-ups each comprises a Hall sensor and an associated magnetic element to create a magnetic field detectable by the Hall sensor. An angle of measurement can be attained if the lower connection component is swung and causes a shift in the joint ball around the axle. This results in a change in the position of the magnets relative to the Hall sensors. This change in position results in a change in the detected Hall voltage which after appropriate adjustment can be transformed into an angle measurement.

An electric hoist with motor-speed-regulated lifting speed, in particular an electric chain hoist, including an electric motor, a gear unit, and a wheel around which the hoisting chain is looped. A load-carrying device is arranged on the hoisting chain. The motor, gear unit and wheel are connected with one another in a drive connection and the lifting speed is provided by an electric control unit for the electric motor, which control unit is connected to a manual control switch. In order to achieve suitable cooling while apportioning the space in an appropriate manner for the arrangement of all required components, the electric control unit, which has control electronics with speed sensing equipment, is arranged in an external protective housing fitted to the gear box.
