An electric drive includes a rotor and a stator in toothed-coil technology, wherein the stator has a number of individual tooth modules. A respective individual tooth module has a stator winding which is wound around an associated tooth, a control device which is designed to generate an activation signal for the stator winding, and a shielding device which surrounds the stator winding and the control device.

A drive system has an electric motor, wherein the electric motor includes a first three-phase stator winding system and a second three-phase stator winding system. The first and the second stator winding system are arranged on the stator in a manner rotated through an electrical phase angle in relation to one another. The drive system includes a frequency converter, wherein the frequency converter has a first bridge circuit arrangement which is designed to generate voltages for the first winding system and a second bridge circuit arrangement which is designed to generate voltages for the second winding system. The first bridge circuit arrangement and the second bridge circuit arrangement are connected in series. A control device is designed to actuate the first bridge circuit arrangement and the second bridge circuit arrangement.

Drive system

A method is provided for generating a digital signal (DS) from an analog signal (IA, UA) generated by a frequency converter on the basis of pulse width modulation, wherein the digital signal corresponds to a mean value of the analog signal over a period of the pulse width modulation. The method includes the acts of: generating a bit stream (BS(i)) with a predetermined bit repetition duration (BW) depending on the analog signal by way of a sigma-delta modulator () and, during a time interval which has a duration which is at least as great as the period of the pulse width modulation: multiplying a respective bit (BS(i)) of the bit stream by a corresponding rating coefficient (BK(i)) for generating a respective bit/rating coefficient product and summing the respective bit/rating coefficient products, wherein the sum represents the digital signal.
