A method of operating a storage means, wherein for writing and storing a storage item to the storage means the storage item to be written and stored&#x2014;in particular by using the concept and theory of identification&#x2014;is provided, a encoding process by means of randomization is applied to the storage item to generate and to provide a randomized encoded storage item, and the randomized encoded storage item is written and stored to the storage means. At least a first randomization process is underlying the encoding process and is a randomization process dedicated and assigned to the underlying storage means. The present disclosure further refers to a unit for operating a storage means, to a storage means and to a system for processing data. By having two randomization processes underlying the encoding process, a distinction can be made between a secrecy insuring and secrecy non-ensuring randomization processes.

A receiver is provided to receive a secondary bitstream which is transmitted by a secondary signal together with a primary signal. The receiver includes a down-converter configured to convert an input signal containing the primary and secondary signals, to a baseband complex symbol stream, A first processing unit processes the baseband complex symbol stream and provides a primary bitstream transmitted by the primary signal or a decoded primary log-likelihood ratio stream. A symbol reconstructing unit is configured to process the primary bitstream or the decoded primary log-likelihood ratio stream and to provide a reconstructed primary symbol stream. A subtraction unit is configured to provide a difference symbol stream by substracting the baseband complex symbol stream and the reconstructed primary symbol stream from each other. A second processing unit is provided to process the difference symbol stream and to provide the secondary bitstream transmitted by the secondary signal.

The invention relates to distributed wireless ad hoc networks having interfering transmission channels, in which direct links between adjacent transmit nodes and receive nodes in a connection pair are established and optimized. The inventive signaling method alternately uses a primary network and an adjoint network, the respective transmit nodes and receive nodes constantly changing their roles in an agreed time pattern. The transmission signals in the adjoint network are predistorted in such a way that the influence of the proper mobile radio channel is canceled on each transmission channel. The occurring interference is implicitly transmitted as well by the receive nodes and can be directly determined and taken into account by the transmit nodes.
