A display device includes: a first substrate including first, second, and third light emitting areas, first, second, and third pixel electrodes respectively in the first, second, and third light emitting areas on the first substrate, a pixel defining layer in the non-light emitting area on the first substrate and defining a peripheral opening partially overlapping the non-light emitting area, a second substrate including first, second, and third light transmitting areas and a light blocking area surrounding the first, second, and third light transmitting areas, a bank layer in the light blocking area on one surface of the second substrate, defining a first opening overlapping each of the first, second, and third light transmitting areas, and defining second openings overlapping the light blocking area wherein each of the second openings has a polygonal planar shape, and a color conversion layer in the first opening and including color conversion particles.

Display device

A display device includes: a substrate; an organic insulating layer on the substrate and having an opening; a first electrode on the organic insulating layer; an auxiliary electrode on the organic insulating layer and including a first portion overlapping the opening; a bank layer having a first bank opening overlapping the first electrode and a second bank opening overlapping the first portion; an intermediate layer on the first electrode and the auxiliary electrode, the intermediate layer including a hole exposing a portion of the auxiliary electrode; and a second electrode on the intermediate layer, overlapping the first electrode and the auxiliary electrode, and in contact with the auxiliary electrode through the hole in the intermediate layer. The hole in the intermediate layer only partially overlaps the opening in the organic insulating layer and is located within the second bank opening in a plan view.

Display device and method of manufacturing the same

A display device includes a first substrate; a pixel electrode disposed on the first substrate, including at least two sub-pixel electrodes separated from one another; a second substrate disposed on the first substrate; and a liquid crystal layer interposed between the first and second substrates, each of the sub-pixel electrodes includes a stem electrode, an outer electrode connected to the stem electrode, a first branch electrode extending from the stem electrode or the outer electrode in a first direction, and a second branch electrode extending from the stem electrode or the outer electrode in a second direction, wherein an angle between the first direction and the second direction is in a range of about 170 to about 180 degrees.

A liquid crystal display device includes a first substrate including a pixel area and a light shielding area, a second substrate opposing the first substrate, a liquid crystal layer between the first and second substrates, the liquid crystal layer including a liquid crystal molecule, a pixel electrode disposed on the first substrate corresponding to the pixel area, the pixel electrode including at least one unit pixel electrode, a light shielding member disposed on the first substrate corresponding to the light shielding area, and a projection on the first substrate, the projection overlapping a portion of the unit pixel electrode, wherein the projection is spaced apart from the light shielding member.
