A process for oligomerizing isocyanates includes a step of continuous conversion of an isocyanate monomer into polyisocyanate containing carbamate and/or allophanate groups, in the presence of a catalyst, wherein the conversion step is carried out in a reactor having a specific heat exchange coefficient of greater than or equal to approximately 200 kW/m/&#xb0; C.

Continuous oligomerization of isocyanates

The present invention relates to a process for the manufacture of compounds comprising two nitrile functional groups. It relates more particularly to a process for the manufacture of dinitrile compounds from compounds comprising a nitrile functional group and an ethylenic unsaturation in the presence of a catalytic system comprising an organometallic complex and a cocatalyst of the Lewis acid type. The process of the invention comprises a stage of treatment of the reaction medium resulting from the hydrocyanation which makes it possible to extract and recover the metal element of the Lewis acid.

Method of producing dinitrile compounds

A method for making a chiral transition metal-ligand catalyst complex that is active in catalyzing stereoselective ring opening reactions includes contacting an asymmetric tetradentate ligand, in an excess of a Br&oslash;nsted acid, with a salt of a first row transition metal, wherein the acidity of the conjugate acid of the salt is the same as or less than the acidity of the Br&oslash;nsted acid, under conditions effective to allow formation of the active chiral transition metal-ligand catalyst complex, and forming a solution of the complex in a water-miscible, protic solvent from which the active complex can be precipitated by the addition of water and adding water to the solution to precipitate at least a portion of the complex.
