In an aspect, a cloud-based server can establish a communications channel with a merchant device over a computer network. The cloud-based server can receive product information characterizing a product from the merchant device via the communications channel. The product information can include at least one measurement characterizing the product acquired in real-time by at least one sensor communicatively coupled to the merchant device. The cloud-based server can calculate a remaining life of the product based on the product information received from the merchant device. The cloud-based server can calculate a real-time price of the product based on a plurality of factors including the calculated remaining life of the product. The cloud-based server can transmit a promotion to purchase the product at a discount to a first client device in response to determining that the remaining life of the product is less than a predefined threshold, the discount calculated based upon the real-time price of the product.

In one aspect, a method includes establishing a first communication channel between a first computing device associated with a fuel dispenser user and a second computing device configured within a fuel dispenser. The method can further include receiving, by the second computing device, first data characterizing a first authorization of the fuel dispenser user of a fuel dispenser. The method also includes determining, by the second computing device, a second authorization of the fuel dispenser user based on the first data. A method for adapting and providing graphical communications in a dispensing environment is provided and can include receiving first data characterizing a vehicle in a dispensing environment and second data characterizing a vehicle operator. Vehicle attributes can be determined based on the first data and an identity of the operator can be determined based on the second data. Third data characterizing a graphical communication can be determined based on the attributes of the vehicle and the identity of the operator. The graphical communication can include graphical elements and can be determined for the operator based on fourth data characterizing a likelihood the operator will provide an input selecting a graphical element of the graphical elements included in the graphical communication. A method of controlling a fuel pump includes receiving a first set of data characterizing an audible activation word including a first voice pattern. Control of the fuel pump is authorized in response to the first voice pattern matching a stored voice pattern within a database. A second set of data characterizing an audible command word is received, where the audible command word includes a second voice pattern. The fuel pump is controlled based on the audible command word in response to the second voice pattern matching the stored voice pattern within the database.

Methods and systems for intelligent electronic inventory management

Systems, devices, and methods for associating vehicle identification information with other visually captured information are provided. In general, a system can include a processor configured to receive an image from a camera located at a fueling station. The processor can be configured to apply an algorithm to extract various features from the image, such as a vehicle that is present in the image, facial features of a driver and/or a passenger of the vehicle, or a license plate of the vehicle. The features can be used by the processor to determine information from the features, such as the identity of the driver, the make/model of the vehicle, or an owner of the vehicle. The processor can then, based on the determined information, be configured to take a variety of actions and thereby reduce the likelihood of possible future losses associated with the vehicles or individuals present in the image.

Associating identification information with visually captured information

Data characterizing wireless emissions of a mobile device of a fuel dispenser user can be received. An identity-less parameter associated with the mobile device of the fuel dispenser user can be determined from the received data. A determination of whether the identity-less parameter is associated with a database record characterizing a profile and stored in a profile database can be made. In one aspect, data characterizing a video feed acquired by a camera oriented toward and including a field of view of a forecourt of a fueling station can be received. The video feed can be monitored for hazards, and the monitoring of the video feed can include performing automatic hazard detection on the video feed using at least one predictive model that predicts a presence of a hazard within the forecourt of the fueling station. A command can be transmitted in response to the detecting of the presence of the hazard within the forecourt of the fueling station. Methods and systems are provided for schedule-based uninterrupted buffering and streaming. In an embodiment, at least one first media file can be received by a streaming server. The streaming server can create a first media file playlist including the at least one first media file. A schedule defining a first desired output time at which a client is to output the first media file playlist can be received by the streaming server. A schedule-based streaming buffer can be generated by the streaming server. The schedule-based streaming buffer can store the first media file playlist prior to the first desired output time. The schedule-based streaming buffer can be provided to the client by the streaming server such that the client can output the first media file playlist at the first desired output time.

Schedule-based uninterrupted buffering and streaming

A first data packet can be received from an origination terminal at a remote server operatively coupled to the origination terminal and an end user terminal. The first data packet can have a plurality of offers and image or video data acquired by an image/video sensor. The image or video data can be processed by the remote server using an image processing algorithm to estimate a current idle time associated with the origination terminal. One or more aspects of the plurality of offers can be controlled by the remote server based on the current idle time. A second data packet including the plurality of offers can be transmitted to the end user terminal by the remote server. A selection of a preferred offer of the plurality of offers can be received from the end user terminal at the remote server. The preferred offer can be provided to the origination terminal.
