An exemplary method comprises generating receiving an authentication request from a graphical user interface on a first computing device; generating a first encrypted media element; displaying the encrypted media element on the GUI; receiving a second encrypted media element from a second computing device; upon determining that the first and second encrypted media elements have a positive match, querying an identification value associated with the second computing device; receiving the identification value associated with the second computing device; upon the identification value matching a data record within a database, determining an account associated with the data record within the database; and authenticating the first computing device by granting the first computing device access to the account associated with the second computing device.

Secure computer-implemented authentication

An electronic system provides various features and functionality for managing resources. A trigger event may be associated with a mobile device. The trigger event may be detected (e.g., based on the mobile device being within a geo-fence) and, responsive to detecting the trigger event, a resource of a plurality of resources may be determined. A stash of the resource of a plurality of stashes of the resource may be determined and the stash of the resource may be replenished based on the trigger event associated with the mobile device.

Network based resource management and allocation

Embodiments described herein disclose methods and systems for authorizing transactions received from client applications. The transaction request can include a first access token. After validating the first access token, the system can determine whether additional authentication is needed to authorize the transaction. If additional authentication is needed, the system can determine the authentication requirements. Once the additional authentication is received and verified, the system can generate a second access token and authorize the transaction by releasing the first access token.

Asynchronous step-up authentication for client applications

Toggling biometric authentication

An electronic system provides various features and functionality for managing resources. An alert may be sent when a mobile device crosses a geo-fence. The alert may describe how much of the resource is available for the types of transaction that are likely to occur within the geo-fence. The alert may request or confirm the allocation of the transaction to a resource pool or suggest alternative transactions.

Techniques are described for multi-factor authentication and device verification based at least partly on a periodically changing (e.g., rotating) security code. A rotating security code may be generated on a user device and used to sign a certificate. The certificate may be encrypted, using a private key stored on the user device, and communicated to a backend service for verifying that the user device is authorized to access secure information. The backend service may decrypt the certificate (e.g., using a public key associated with the private key), extract the security code from the decrypted certificate, and compare the extracted security code to a security code associated with the user device. If the codes correspond to one another, the user device may be verified and provided with access to secure information such as secure data, a secure portion of an application, and so forth.
