A water purifier includes a filter part to filter water, a storage part to store the water filtered by the filter part, and a separation unit to partition a space within the storage part into a plurality of spaces. A contact part is disposed between an inner surface of the storage part and the separation unit.

Ventilating and air purifying device including a case having a blower therein provided to a ceiling or a wall, a first flow passage provided between the blower and a room for making an outdoor, the blower, and the room in communication, a second flow passage for making the room, an inside of the case, and the outdoor in communication, and a damper in the case for isolating the first flow passage from the second flow passage so that room air is discharged to the outdoor and the room air is guided to the blower, or making the first flow passage and the second flow passage in communication so that the room air introduced into the second flow passage is guided to the blower, thereby ventilating and purifying the room air.

Air conditioning system including an outdoor unit, a compact indoor unit, air supply duct, air discharge duct, and preheat exchanger. An indoor heat exchanger in the indoor unit has a space therein in communication with a room, a fan in the indoor unit provided in the space draws air and discharges through the indoor heat exchanger. A ventilation guide duct in the indoor unit on an underside of the indoor heat exchanger has a partition wall for separating external air supplied from an outside of the room, and room air, for guiding the external air to the room through the fan, and the room air to the outside of the room. The air supply duct and the air discharge duct have one ends connected to the ventilation guide duct for guiding the external air to the room, and the room air to the outside of the room, respectively. The preheat exchanger is provided in the middle of the air supply duct and the air discharge duct, for indirect heat exchange of the external air and the room air passing through the air supply duct and the air discharge duct.

An operating method for a room air conditioner(RAC) which is capable of enhancing an alertness level of a user based upon a human electroencephalogram(EEG), includes inputting an alertness operation mode key when the user desires to heighten an alertness degree of the user, performing an air conditioning operation to maintain a first standard temperature and a range of a temperature variation corresponding thereto to enhance the user's alertness degree, performing an air conditioning operation to maintain a second standard temperature and the range of the temperature variation corresponding thereto when the user feels cold at the first standard temperature, and to maintain a third standard temperature and the range of the temperature variation corresponding thereto when the user feels hot at the first standard temperature, repeating the second step when the user feels cold at the third standard temperature, and when the user feels hot at the second standard temperature, and performing an air conditioning operation according to a general mode when the user feels hot at the third standard temperature, and when the user feels cold at the second standard temperature.
