A hydrogen supply control method of a fuel cell system is provided. The method includes measuring the pressure of a front line of a supply line having relatively low humidity and the pressure of a front end of an ejector, without a pressure sensor of an anode. The amount of supplied hydrogen is then adjusted using the measured pressure and the pressure of the anode is estimated more accurately.

Hydrogen supply control method and system of fuel cell system

A hydrogen consumption measuring method for a fuel cell system includes steps of: calculating an amount of hydrogen consumed for a representative section from a first pressure at a time when hydrogen is supplied into an anode and a second pressure at a time when the hydrogen is no longer supplied to the anode; and calculating a total amount of hydrogen consumed by accumulating amounts of hydrogen consumed from a plurality of sections.

A device for detecting leakage of gas of a fuel cell vehicle includes a gas sensor configured to determine whether gas leaks based on a change in a temperature by a catalyst reaction and a vehicle control unit including a comparator configured to read a variation in temperature from the gas sensor, and configured to control a fuel cell vehicle. A power application state is maintained in the comparator in a power off state of the fuel cell vehicle. Power of the gas sensor is switched at regular periodic intervals. The comparator determines the variation in temperature measured by the gas sensor, and, when the variation in temperature exceeds a predetermined value, the power of the gas sensor is switched to normal power.

Apparatus for detecting gas leakage of a vehicle equipped with a fuel cell system

Disclosed are a hydrogen detection sensor and a method of manufacturing the same. The hydrogen detection sensor is manufactured by using hydrothermal synthesis method to synthesize a molybdenum oxide (MoO) nanostructure, and irradiating UV light thereon to form an MoO&#x2014;Pd nanocomposite comprising the molybdenum oxide nanostructure with palladium (Pd) catalyst particles, and coating the MoO&#x2014;Pd nanocomposite on a substrate. As such, a visible color change from the MoObefore and after exposure to hydrogen may be so obvious that the sensing or sensitivity of hydrogen and the long-term stability may be substantially improved. In addition, the manufacturing process is simple, and the manufacturing costs may be reduced.

Color changeable hydrogen detection sensor based on molybdenum oxide and method of manufacturing the same

Disclosed herein is a hydrogen detecting sensor that includes a sulfide-metal catalyst, such that hydrogen gas can be detected visibly with naked eyes. Particularly, the hydrogen detecting sensor includes a substrate, a sulfide layer formed on the substrate and chemically discolored when exposed to hydrogen, and a metal catalytic layer formed on the sulfide layer.

A system and method are provided for compensating an offset of a pressure sensor. The system includes a pressure sensor that is configured to detect pressure and a power management module that is configured to automatically supply power to a controller connected to the power management module or terminate the supply of power after a preset time to thereby turn the controller on or off. The system further includes the controller connected to the power management module and configured to determine the offset of the pressure sensor based on a pressure value which is detected by the pressure sensor when the power is supplied from the power management module. The present invention provides a fuel control system and method, e.g., for a vehicle fuel cell system, which can efficiently supply hydrogen to a fuel cell stack and increase the efficiency of an ejector. For this purpose, the present invention provides a fuel control system having a series-connected multi-stage pressure control structure, in which an additional injector is provided in series between an injector for controlling the pressure of hydrogen supplied, a pressure control valve, or a pressure control actuator and a hydrogen recirculation ejector in a hydrogen supply passage, through which hydrogen is supplied from a hydrogen supply unit to a fuel cell stack, such that the pressure of hydrogen supplied is controlled in stages.

Fuel control system and method for fuel cell system

The present invention provides an apparatus for controlling hydrogen supply of a fuel cell system and a method for controlling the same. The apparatus includes a jet pump, a proportional control solenoid valve, and a controller. The jet pump is disposed at the side of an inlet of a fuel cell stack and performs supply and recirculation of hydrogen into the fuel cell stack. The proportional control solenoid valve is connected to a hydrogen supply line and fluidly communicates with a nozzle inlet of the jet pump to control the hydrogen supply to the jet pump. The controller controls an operation of the proportional control solenoid valve according to a power of the fuel cell system. Here, the controller controls the operation of the proportional control solenoid valve according to a pulse flow control method at a low power section in which a current power is lower than a predetermined reference power.
