A transmission method and apparatus are provided for use in a wireless communication system in which a cell includes a plurality of sub-cells. A Transmission Point (TP) in the wireless communication system includes a transmitter configured to transmit a signal to each of the plurality of sub-cells through a plurality of antennas; a receiver configured to receive uplink control information from a User Equipment (UE) located within at least one of the plurality of sub-cells; and a controller configured to determine a virtual matrix for each of the plurality of sub-cells, to select a precoding matrix according to the virtual matrices of the plurality of sub-cells, to determine a cooperative transmission mode or a normal transmission mode, based on the received uplink control information, and to control the transmitter to perform downlink transmission on a sub-cell basis through the virtual matrices of the sub-cells according to the determined transmission mode.

Transmission method and apparatus in a wireless communication system in which a cell includes a plurality of subcells

The present invention relates to a method by which a base station performs multiple input and multiple output (MIMO) transmission using antennas of a plurality of cells in a multi-cell wireless communication system, the method comprising the steps of: selecting a rank value and cells for downlink MIMO transmission of a terminal on the basis of measurement information of the base station and the terminal, and determining a precoding matrix according to the rank value; and generating data which is to be transmitted to the terminal as data streams corresponding to the selected rank value, and mapping the data streams to antennas of the selected cells through a precoder so as to transmit the data streams to the terminal.

MIMO transmission method and MIMO transmission device using plurality of cells in multi-cell wireless communication system

Performing scheduling operations by a centralized scheduler in a wireless communication system. Receiving Channel State Information (CSI) about a channel between each of a plurality of Transmission Points (TPs) and each of a plurality of User Equipments (UEs) performing communication with each of the plurality of TPs from each of the plurality of TPs, performing a first scheduling operation for allocating wireless resources to each of the plurality of TPs based on the CSI received from each of the plurality of TPs, and transmitting first scheduling information representing a result of the first scheduling operation to each of the plurality of TPs. The first scheduling information contains transmission power information representing transmission power for each of the wireless resources allocated to each of the plurality of TPs, and is used to perform a second scheduling operation to select a UE to communicate with each of the plurality of TPs.

Method and apparatus for performing scheduling in wireless communication system

The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for transmitting data in a wireless communication system for supporting multi-cells formed of a plurality of sub-cells. An apparatus and a method for a random access scheme for multi-channel in a wireless communication system are provided. The method for performing the random access scheme for the multi-channel in the wireless communication system includes randomly generating a backoff counter value to transmit data; adjusting the backoff counter value by taking into account status of a plurality of idle subcarrier sets per backoff slot; when the backoff counter value becomes zero, selecting one or more subcarrier sets to carry the data from the idle subcarrier sets; and transmitting the data through the selected one or more subcarrier sets. The data collision probability between the terminals can be lowered, the channel utility can be enhanced, the transfer rate in the single-channel random access scheme can be raised, and the consumption of the radio resource can be reduced without using signals for the band request and allocation.

Apparatus and method for transmitting data in wireless communication system

A method and an apparatus maximize the capacity of a wireless communication network by taking into consideration inter-cell interference coordination. A home cell's capacity sensitivity to interference is calculated. At least one neighbor cell's capacity sensitivity to interference is collected. And at least one UE located in the home cell is scheduled based on the home cell's capacity sensitivity and the neighbor cell's capacity sensitivity. Accordingly, it is possible to achieve power and allocation control to maximize the capacity of the overall network including neighbor cells increase the system capacity in a cellular system in which inter-cell interference is large, and adaptively perform a UE scheduling in real time to changing distribution of UEs because information on a change in the capacity of each cell is shared by periods.

User equipment scheduling method in cellular uplink communication system and base station apparatus therefor

A method and apparatus for controlling inter-cell interference in an evolved Node-B for a cellular communication system with a frequency reuse factor of 1 are provided. The apparatus includes a bitmap generator for receiving scheduling information from evolved Node-Bs of a plurality of neighbor cells, and for generating scheduling information including its cell's bitmap information for the resource allocation using the received neighbor cells' scheduling information, and a scheduler for scheduling the resource allocation for UEs in its cell based on the scheduling information provided from the bitmap generator and power allocation information of the UEs in its cell.

An apparatus and method for allocating a channel and power by a Base Station (BS) in a communication system are provided. The method includes, performing one of a first scheduling, which uses inter-cell cooperation information received from at least one neighboring BS and a data rate received from each User Equipment (UE), and a second scheduling, which uses both an average data rate for each subchannel computed by accumulating the data rates for a preset time period and the inter-cell cooperation information, selecting a UE to be allocated each subchannel in each subframe based on results of the performed scheduling, computing a power metric for each of the selected UE and a non-selected UE by using the inter-cell cooperation information, the average data rate, an amount of performance change of the selected UE, and the results of the performed scheduling; and allocating power to all UEs including the selected UE and the non-selected UE by preset subframe periods by using the computed power metric.
