An electroluminescent display apparatus includes a substrate including a display area and a non-display area outside the display area, a first electrode provided in each of a plurality of subpixels in the display area of the substrate, a connection electrode provided in the non-display area of the substrate, a bank covering both ends of the first electrode and covering a top surface of the connection electrode, a light emitting layer provided on the first electrode and the bank in the display area and the non-display area, and a second electrode provided on the light emitting layer, wherein, a trench is provided in the bank in the non-display area, one side surface of the connection electrode is exposed at an inner portion of the trench, and the second electrode extends to the inner portion of the trench and contacts the one side surface of the connection electrode.

An organic light-emitting display device includes: a substrate, an organic light-emitting device on the substrate, an encapsulation layer on the substrate and the organic light-emitting device, the encapsulation layer covering the organic light-emitting device, the encapsulation layer including an encapsulation hole, a black matrix covering the encapsulation layer, the black matrix including a black matrix hole over the encapsulation hole, and a color filter in the encapsulation hole and the black matrix hole.

The second electrode is disconnected between the first subpixel and the second subpixel by the trench.

A display device includes: a substrate including: first to third subpixels, an insulating layer including a trench on the substrate between at least two among the first to third subpixels, a first electrode on the insulating layer in each of the first to third subpixels, a fence in each of the first to third subpixels, the fence surrounding an edge of the first electrode, a light-emitting layer on the first electrode, the fence, and the insulating layer, a second electrode on the light-emitting layer, and a color filter layer including: a first color filter in the first subpixel, a second color filter in the second subpixel, and a third color filter in the third subpixel, wherein the second color filter is wider than the first color filter, and wherein the second color filter partially overlaps the first subpixel.

An organic light emitting display device includes a substrate; first and second organic light emitting diodes laterally shifted with respect to each other on the substrate; an encapsulation layer covering the first and second organic light emitting diodes, the encapsulation layer including a plurality of layers; and a first color filter and a second color filter each within the plurality of layers, the first color filter and the second color filter being respectively disposed over respective ones of the first and second organic light emitting diodes at respectively different heights from the substrate.
