Disclosed are a display device and a compensation method thereof for preventing and compensating for deterioration of pixels using average data of stress for each pixel. The display device includes a display panel comprising a plurality of pixels provided thereon and configured to display an image, a display driver configured to output a driving signal for driving the display panel, a timing controller configured to generate stress data by converting grayscale values included in image data into stress values, to accumulate the stress data for each pixel, to calculate average data for each pixel corresponding to an accumulated number of times, to determine a compensation value by performing lossless and lossy compression and restoration on the average data in a regular region and an irregular region, respectively, and to provide the compensation value to the display driver.

Display device and compensation method thereof

The present disclosure relates to an organic light emitting display device. The device includes, among others, a controller including a data compensator configured to accumulate stress data applied to organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs) on the basis of input image data, to generate accumulated stress data under a condition for recovery of accumulated loss in a loss region, to compress and restore the accumulated stress data in a lossless manner and a loss manner to determine a compensated value and to output the compensated value. Accordingly, it is possible to estimate previous loss data on the basis of new image data to be currently accumulated, recover loss and accumulate data to prevent accumulation of loss and efficiently compensate for afterimage due to deterioration of OLEDs to extend the period of use.

Organic light emitting display device and compensation method therefor

A three-dimensional nonvolatile memory device comprises a plurality of cell strings arranged perpendicular to a substrate. The present invention discloses a method for controlling an optical pick-up which enables the exact reproduction of a screen image at a user's desired location during a video-disk search. The control method stores the time when a search-off command, (i.e., a reproducing command signal) is input and the time when the pick-up is actually stopped, and then moves the pick-up toward the identified time location when the reproducing command signal was input to reproduce the disk. The control method prevents the reproduction of a track image at a location slightly beyond from a desired image caused by the inertia of a pick-up.

Method for controlling pick-up upon video-disk search

A helical groove for conducting lubricant is formed in an internal cylindrical surface of a bearing member by pressing a plurality of balls against the surface while effecting relative longitudinal and rotational movement between the bearing member and a ball-carrier which carries the balls. The balls roll along the cylindrical surface and press-form the helical groove therein. To enable the ball carrier to be inserted into the bearing, the balls are held in a retracted state by applying a vacuum to the balls.
