An illumination apparatus includes: a light-guiding portion including a light-introducing opening through which light is introduced from a light-emitting portion of an image pickup apparatus, a reflective surface that reflects light introduced from the light-introducing opening toward an image pickup optical axis of the image pickup apparatus, and a diffusion portion that diffuses the light reflected by the reflective surface toward an object as diffused light; and a reflective body including an opening portion allowing an image pickup opening of the image pickup apparatus to be exposed, and a reflective portion provided around the opening portion and including a reflective surface formed to expand from the opening portion toward the object, wherein the diffusion portion is disposed at a part of the reflective portion and the reflective body includes a wall portion extending to the object side at a boundary between the opening portion and the diffusion portion.

Illumination apparatus and image pickup system including the same

A camera having a lens barrel housed therein includes a reflection optical member for reflecting a light beam incident along a first optical axis (O) from a subject so as to reflect the light beam toward a second optical axis (O) intersecting the first optical axis; a light-quantity adjusting member for adjusting the quantity of incident light from the subject; and a drive source for displacing the light-quantity adjusting member, in which by displacing the light-quantity adjusting member, the quantity of the incident light from the subject can be adjusted, and the light-quantity adjusting member is displaced in a direction substantially perpendicular to an optical axial plane inclusive of the first optical axis and the second optical axis so as to adjust the light-quantity.

Camera

In a camera having a camera body unit constituted by combining a plurality of units, the camera configuration is realized so as to allow to easily remove only a lens frame unit from the camera body unit before the other units (for example, a strobe unit, a finder unit, a film feed unit and the like) when the camera is disassembled to repair or replace the lens frame unit by constituting so that the lens frame unit having a photographing optical system can be mounted independently.

A specification-variable camera comprises a plurality of switches. A specification-change member renders a predetermined combination of the plurality of switches conductive. An operation member is used to select a mode of the camera. A detection switch serves to detect an operation on the operation member. A control means is compatible with a plurality of specifications. The control means sets a mode of the camera in correspondence with conducting states of the switches, when an output is supplied from the detection switch. The specification of the camera is changed by changing the combination of the conducting states of the switches.

Specification-variable camera

A film cartridge loader for a camera includes a film cartridge chamber having an opening into which a film cartridge can be loaded, a film cartridge chamber lid, a lid locking unit, a lid close detecting unit, an ejecting unit, a film cartridge interceptive door opening/closing unit, a moving unit, a movement detecting unit, a driving source, and a driving control unit. The film cartridge chamber lid is movable for opening or closing the cartridge chamber opening. The lid locking unit locks the film cartridge chamber lid in a closed state. The lid close detecting unit detects that the film cartridge chamber lid is locked by the lid locking unit. The ejecting unit ejects the film cartridge from the film cartridge chamber. The film cartridge interceptive door opening/closing unit opens or closes the interceptive door of the film cartridge. The moving unit moves the ejecting unit responsively to opening actions performed by the film cartridge interceptive door opening/closing unit. The movement detecting unit detects a movement made by the moving unit. The driving source generates driving force by which the film cartridge interceptive door opening/closing unit is driven. The driving control unit controls the driving performed by the driving source in response to an output of the lid close detecting unit and an output of the movement detecting unit.

Film cartridge loader for camera

A camera uses a film cartridge for automatically guiding out a film when the film cartridge is mounted into a film cartridge chamber. A film cartridge unit has the film cartridge chamber. A rail plate unit is formed independently of the film cartridge unit and is also mechanically connected to the film cartridge unit. The rail plate unit faces the film for guiding the move of the film from the film cartridge chamber. The film cartridge unit has a guide route for securely guiding the film from the film cartridge chamber to the rail plate unit.

Camera having mechanism for securely guiding out film

An object of a camera of the present invention is to protect mode change switches, a mode display member, or the like from being damaged or prevent it from malfunctioning, and to improve maneuverability. A center part of a camera body 2 shaped like a rectangular parallelepiped is revealed or hidden by a protective cover 5 that can slide freely between the center part of the camera body 2 and a left-hand part thereof. Arranged on the face, top, and back of the center part of the camera body 2 are a photography lens 3, a strobe 6, and mode change switches 16, a mode display member 17, and the like which are used during photography. These members (photography-time used members) are shielded by the protective cover 5 in a closed state and thus protected from being damaged. Moreover, the incident that the members malfunction can be minimized. Only when an open state is set by sliding the protective cover 5 to the left-hand part of the camera body 2 for the purpose of photography, the photography-time used members are exposed to be operational. Thus, excellent maneuverability is ensured.
