The terminal holding device includes an attaching unit to be attached to a vehicle, a holding unit which removably holds a terminal device in such a manner that a display unit of the terminal device is exposed and which includes a contact surface to be contact with the terminal device, an acceleration sensor which detects acceleration in a direction from a side of the contact surface to a side opposite to the contact surface, and a supplying unit which supplies a detection signal of the acceleration sensor to the terminal device.

Terminal holding device

A terminal device is mounted on and used in a movable body such as a vehicle. The terminal device includes an image capturing unit, an image generating unit and a display unit. The image generating unit corrects the captured image captured by the image capturing unit based on the deviation of the image capturing direction of the image capturing unit with respect to the traveling direction of the movable body, and generates a display image. Thus, based on the deviation angle of the image capturing direction with respect to the traveling direction of the movable body, the captured image can be appropriately corrected to generate the display image.

The amount of advancement when the unloading is completed is kept constant.

A main frame supports a receiving-side connector to which a connecting-side connector is connected in movable manner toward inside. A holding unit holds the receiving-side connector that is moved to the inside. A connector biasing unit applies a biasing force toward outside to the receiving-side connector. A hold releasing unit releases a hold by the holding unit, and moves the receiving-side connector to the outside by the biasing force. A pressing-force applying unit applies, when the receiving-side connector is not moved by the biasing force, a pressing force for ejecting the receiving-side connector to the receiving-side connector.

The driving pulse signal includes a start-up current which is required for rotating the stepping motor at a unit angle and a holding current which maintains a rotational angle of the stepping motor rotated by the start-up current. An optical disk playing apparatus which performs at least a focusing servo operation for reading light as a servo operation and irradiates the reading light onto one optical disk, receives reflected light from the optical disk by a pickup to obtains a light receiving signal, moves an irradiated position of the reading light onto the optical disk to cross tracks on the disk; generates a tracking error signal in response to the reading signal during the track crossing; compares the tracking error signal with a threshold value; and determines the type of the optical disk in accordance with the number of pulses in the compared result signal within a predetermined period from start of the track crossing.

Optical disk playing apparatus and method for discriminating optical disk

A focusing controller executes an appropriate focus jump even in a multilayer disk having layers of characteristics greatly different from each other. The focusing controller has an optical pickup including an objective lens for converging the light beam and a detector for receiving reflected light from the multilayer recording medium; an error signal generator for generating a focus error signal of the irradiated light beam from a detecting signal of the detector; an actuator for operating the objective lens; and a controller for controlling a focusing position of the light beam by operating the actuator based on the focus error signal. The controller calculates intensities of the reflected lights of two layers based on the detecting signal of the detector, and thus controls the timings of acceleration and deceleration signals of a focus jump between these two layers.

A tilt servo apparatus of an optical disc recording/reproducing apparatus, which includes sampling portion for sampling an RF envelope signal at every predetermined rotational angle on the basis of a rotation signal being synchronous with a rotation of the optical recording medium, calculating portion for calculating an average value of the sampled envelope intensities, and control portion for controlling a tilt error correction. The control portion determines the amount of the tilt error correction on the basis of the average value.

Liquid crystal tilt servo apparatus

A tilt servo control apparatus has a tilt error correcting device for correcting a tilt error caused by a tilt angle defined between a normal at an irradiating position of a laser beam irradiated onto a recording surface of an optical recording medium and an optical axis of the laser beam. The tilt error correcting device is driven based on an intensity of the reflected light of the laser beam irradiated onto the recording surface. The apparatus provides a control to hold a drive value of the tilt error correcting device to a predetermined value in response to a track jump command for changing the irradiating position of the laser beam from the first irradiating position to the second irradiating position that is away therefrom by a distance corresponding to a predetermined number of tracks.

Tilt servo apparatus for optical disc recording/playing apparatus

A liquid-crystal tilt servo apparatus in which a reference voltage generating circuit is unnecessary for a liquid-crystal driving circuit and which has a simple circuit configuration and high reliability is realized. The liquid-crystal driving circuit has a DC removing circuit for removing a DC component of a driving signal generated on the basis of a tilt error correction control signal from a control unit and supplying a resultant signal to a liquid crystal device.

A focusing bias adjusting apparatus in an optical recording medium playing apparatus, in which a focusing bias adjustment is executed to remove an offset component in a focusing error signal based on each output signal of a split type photodetector in an optical pickup and, thereafter, a tilt adjustment is executed to an optical system so as to maximize a read signal serving as a sum signal of the output signals of the photodetector in order to compensate a tilt angle which is defined by a normal at the irradiating position of a laser beam from the optical pickup on the recording surface of an optical recording medium and the optical axial direction of the laser beam. When the tilt adjusting operation of the optical system of the optical pickup is performed after completion of the focusing bias adjustment, the focusing bias adjustment is executed again.

Focusing bias adjusting apparatus and method in optical recording medium playing apparatus

A focusing control apparatus is designed to perform a focus jumping operation successfully. The apparatus has reading device which irradiates read light to a recording medium,having information recording surfaces formed on at least two layers, respectively, receiving return light of the read light from the recording medium, and generating a read signal; and control device which executes a focus jumping process to generate a drive signal of a focusing actuator to move an optimum light converging position of the read light from one of the recording surfaces to the other based on a focusing error signal that is generated based on the return light. The apparatus further has drop-out detecting device which detects a drop-out of the read signal and vibration detecting device which detects a vibration of the recording medium or reading device. The control device executes the focus jumping process only when the drop-out is not detected and a vibration detection level of the vibration detecting means is lower than a predetermined value.
