A step-down power supply receives an external power supply voltage and supplies power at a reduced voltage from an output node to a load. The power supply also receives a reference voltage and a control signal indicating the whether the load is active or not. The reduced power supply voltage is held equal to the reference voltage by adjustment of the voltage at an internal control node. To prevent fluctuations in the reduced power supply voltage at active-inactive transitions of the load, the power supply includes circuitry for pulling the voltage at the internal control node both up and down, circuitry for leaking current from the output node to ground, circuitry for temporarily raising and lowering the reference voltage, or a capacitor coupling the reference voltage signal line to the control signal line.

Step-down power supply

A cleaning solution is used to remove a byproduct derived from a decomposed substance of a process gas containing C and F. The cleaning solution contains 75 wt % N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone, 15 wt % ethylene glycol monobutyl ether, 0.5 wt % surfactant, and 9.5 wt % water. The content of an alkali metal in the cleaning solution is set to be less than 10 ppb.

The present invention assures a satisfactory adhesiveness of an input screen,of an X-ray image intensifier, high resolution of an output image and brightness uniformity as required, by configuring an aluminum or aluminum alloy substrate,so to have a concave surface with minute irregularities of the substrate material removed by burnishing, excepting gentle irregularities,without directivity which are caused by pressing. The gentle irregularities,of the substrate,preferably have an average length L in a range of 50 &mgr;m to 300 &mgr;m between the neighboring bottoms and an average height H in a range of 0.3 &mgr;m to 4.0 &mgr;m from peaks to bottoms. The invention improves resolution with light on the substrate surface suppressed from being scattered, and decreases image noises which are caused by the minute irregularities.
