Tampon including a recessed part and method for manufacturing thereof

The covering member includes an inner side surface being in contact with the absorber and an outer side surface to come into contact with a vaginal wall when in use. The covering member contains a hydrophobic fiber with a low affinity to water and a hydrophilic fiber with a high affinity to water. In the outer side surface, an abundance ratio of the hydrophobic fiber is higher than an abundance ratio of the hydrophilic fiber.

Sanitary tampon

It is intended to provide a tampon wherein a string-shaped member is bonded to a cylindrical absorbent in the state of not being exposed on the absorbent surface. A tampon comprising an absorbent (), which is obtained by molding a sheet member into a cylindrical shape, and a string-shaped member () which is bonded to the absorbent () and extends from one end of the absorbent (). The string-shaped member () has a first string part which is bonded along the first direction of one face of the sheet member constituting the absorbent () and a second string part which extends from the sheet member. A first folding part is formed in one side of the second direction that is perpendicular to the first direction of the first string member, while a second folding part is formed in the other side of the second direction. Owing to this constitution, the absorbent () is deformed by bending respectively from the first folding part and the second folding part and thus molded into a cylindrical shape from which the first string part is not exposed.

Tampon

An individual package of sanitary tampon that can be easily opened and can avoid any unintended seal breakage while being carried. The individual package of tampon comprises a vertically long, flat bag body made of a sheet-shaped member and a tampon with applicator individually enclosed in the bag body. The individual package further comprises a seal breaking part with one or more cut portions provided continuously or intermittently along a given direction of the sheet-shaped member and a buffer structure part provided on one side or both sides of the seal breaking part in the seal breaking direction. The buffer structure part has a slack portion formed by slacking the sheet-shaped member.

Individual package

An individual package is provided to allow a tampon with an applicator to be handled easily. An individual package includes: a tampon including an applicator having an external cylinder and an internal cylinder, and an absorbent body housed so as to be pushed out from the applicator; and a flat bag formed by a predetermined sheet member in a elongated shape. The flat bag includes an unsealable portion formed on one side of the flat bag so as to enable the tampon to be removed therefrom; and a lid portion which is openable and closable in a longitudinal direction of the flat bag. The lid portion is disposed so as to cover the unsealable portion.

Individual package and method of manufacturing the same

A sanitary napkin includes: a napkin body having a liquid-absorbent layer for absorbing and retaining liquid; and a projection projecting from a body surface of the napkin body. The projection has an apex and a pair of side wall portions formed of a liquid-permeable material. The apex is spaced apart from the body surface of the napkin body and extends along a longitudinal centerline of the napkin body. The side wall portions connect at the apex and diverge toward the body surface of the napkin body. The apex and the side wall portions are different in stiffness. The side wall portions have a space therebetween and are permitted to deform and approach each other.
