A head includes: a silicon substrate; an insulating film on the silicon substrate; an electrode wiring on the insulating film; a flexible wiring connected to the electrode wiring; and a conductive film electrically connects the flexible wiring and the electrode wiring in a bonding area. The silicon substrate has an exposed area on a surface of the silicon substrate facing the insulating film, and the exposed area is in a vicinity of the bonding area and is exposed from the insulating film.

A liquid discharge head includes a first component having a bonding face having a recess and a second component bonded to the bonding face of the first component. The recess includes a first recess to which an adhesive is applied and a second recess extending in an extending direction to connect the first recess and an outer peripheral end of the first component. The first recess includes an inner side face that is an interior of the first component. The second recess includes a first wall face and a second wall face opposed to the first wall face. The first wall face and the second wall face define side walls of the second recess in a width direction orthogonal to the extending direction of the second recess. The extending direction is inclined with respect to a perpendicular line perpendicular to the inner side face of the first recess.

A liquid discharge head includes: a first member; and a second member bonded to the first member, wherein the first member has: a first protrusion protruding to the second member, a second protrusion protruding to the second member, the second protrusion having a height different from the first protrusion, the second member includes: a first portion bonded to the first protrusion with a first adhesive; and a second portion bonded to the second protrusion with a second adhesive, the second portion having a height different from the first portion, and a type of the second adhesive is different from a type of the first adhesive.

A liquid discharge head includes a nozzle plate, a channel substrate, a common-liquid-chamber substrate, an adhesive, and a sealant. The nozzle plate includes a plurality of nozzles to discharge liquid. The channel substrate includes a plurality of individual liquid chambers communicated with the plurality of nozzles. The common-liquid-chamber substrate includes a common liquid chamber to supply the liquid to the plurality of individual liquid chambers. The adhesive bonds two of the nozzle plate, the channel substrate, and the common-liquid-chamber substrate. The adhesive faces a channel through which the liquid flows. The sealant surrounds the adhesive at an opposite side of the channel relative to the adhesive.

A liquid ejection head is provided. The liquid ejection head includes a nozzle substrate to eject a droplet of a liquid from a nozzle thereof; a surface treatment layer, which is located on the surface of the nozzle substrate and which is an oxide layer including silicon (Si) and a transition metal capable of forming a passive layer; and an organic liquid repellent layer located on the surface treatment layer.
