A SrTiO:Pr phosphor includes a SrTiO:Pr phosphor material and an additive having one or more elements selected from the group consisting of W, Mo and V in a form of an elemental substance and/or a compound. A total amount of one or more elements included in the additive is in a range from 0.1 wt % to 30 wt % of the SrTiO:Pr phosphor. The additive is WOand a particle size distribution of WOis such that a weight of WOwhose particle diameters are in a range from 0.2 to 0.4 &#x3bc;m is not less than 70% of a total weight of WO. A fluorescent luminous tube includes the SrTiO:Pr phosphor.

A multi-color luminous fluorescent display device includes therein a vacuum-sealed vessel having a glass substrate, an anode disposed on the glass substrate, a cathode installed in the vacuum-sealed vessel, a first phosphorescent layer containing a phosphor emitting yellow to red light, and a second phosphorescent layer containing a phosphor emitting blue to green light. The first phosphorescent layer contains a LnOS:Eu phosphor (Ln is at least one selected from a group consisting of La, Gd, Lu and Y) which emits yellow to red light, and the second phosphorescent layer contains at least one phosphor selected from ZnO:Zn phosphor, ZnGaOphosphor and ZnGaO:Mn phosphor which emit blue to green light.

Multi color luminous fluorescent display device

In a fluorescent display device wherein light is emitted by impinging a low speed electron beam on a phosphor layer formed on an anode, the phosphor layer comprises a compound containing W and/or a compound containing P, K and/or Na. The compound containing P, K and/or Na may be a compound selected from the group consisting of KPO, POand NaSiO, the compound being added in an amount of 0.01 to 10.00 wt % to the phosphor layer, to provide a higher luminance residual ratio and a higher high temperature exposure characteristic than those of a convention fluorescent display device.

A yellow light emission phosphor usable in a fluorescent display device does not include cadmium and Eu concentration in the yellow light emission phosphor is reduced to a range of about 0.001 mol % to about 0.1 mol %. The phosphor on a fluorescent display driven at a low voltage generates a yellow light emission with an excellent chromaticity and has a good life span characteristic.

A phosphor without using cadmium having excellent luminous characteristic which emits a light in the visible region. The phosphor is prepared by mixing 1% of B O powder and 10% of In O with CaS:Eu, Ce phosphor to prepare a mixture to which is added vehicle containing an organic binder to form paste. A phosphor material of the chemical composition formula (Sr , Ca )TiO :Pr,Al, where the value of x&plus;y is in the range 0.001 to 0.05. Another phosphor material has the chemical composition formula SrTiO :Pr,Al, in which the surfaces of phosphor particles are diffused with a diffusing agent containing at least one of Be, Mg, Ca, Sr, and Ba. Still another phosphor material has the chemical composition formula SrTiO :Pr,Al, where Sr/Ti molar ratio is 0.88 to 0.99.

Phosphor material and its method of manufacture

A phosphor in the form of a columnar powder capable of exhibiting enhanced luminous efficiency, providing various luminous colors by electron excitation depending on the selection of elements added thereto and having improved life characteristics. The phosphor is made by heating a starting material constituted by a GaN based phosphor material to a temperature equal to or greater than a sublimation temperature thereof. The phosphor thus obtained is represented by Ga In N:A,B, wherein x is larger than or equal to 0 and smaller than 1 (0&lE;x<1), A is Zn or Mg, and B is Si or Ge.

In an induction heating coil unit for a manifold in a hot runner mold, it is possible to uniformly heat a material over the entire length of a runner. Also, a coil is easily attached to and detached from the manifold. The hot runner mold includes a fixed mold and a movable mold, and a space is provided along a side surface of the manifold on which clamping force applied by the fixed mold and the movable mold does not act. A coil is wound to the side surface along an axial line of a runner of the manifold within the space such that the manifold is induction-heated from the side surface.

A phosphor is prepared by depositing a compound semiconductor of Groups III-V in the form of fine particles or a thin film on a surface of a carrier particle by hetero-epitaxial growth. Thus, the phosphor increased in quality is obtained with satisfactory reproducibility.

A method for preparing a gallium nitride phosphor which is capable of emitting light at luminance increased to a degree sufficient to permit the phosphor to be practically used. A dopant compound containing elements reacted with H,and gasified by heating is arranged on an upstream side in a calcination oven in which NH,is flowed and a matrix element compound is arranged on the downstream side therein, resulting in calcination of the compound being carried out. This permits GaN to be surrounded with ammonia and the dopant during the calcination, so that the GaN phosphor may be fully doped with the dopant.

A fluorescent material and a display device incorporating the fluorescent material are described. The fluorescent material is a mixture including a phosphor which is excitable at a voltage of 1 kV or higher for emitting light and a phosphor which is excitable at a voltage of 1 kV or lower for emitting light, wherein each phosphor emits light of the same color and the fluorescent material is luminous at an anode voltage of 2 kV or lower. The fluorescent display device accelerates electrons emitted from an electron source at an anode voltage of 2 kV or lower and rushes these electrons against an anode for exciting the fluorescent material present on the anode. The fluorescent material is a mixture as set forth above.

A fluorescent luminous device capable of providing a fluorescent luminous device including a non-sulfide phosphor which is reduced in resistance and emits light of a reddish luminous color. The fluorescent luminous device is so constructed that the phosphor layer is made of a non-sulfide phosphor excited by luminescence of a ZnO:Zn phosphor to emit light of a yellowish red luminous color. The ZnO:Zn phosphor is deposited on the non-sulfide phosphor.

A method for producing a phosphor made of luminous inorganic particles of a nanostructure which is capable of keeping a surface of the phosphor from being polluted by any by-product and controlling a particle diameter distribution of the phosphor as desired. A carbon material and an inorganic salt are mixed together to prepare a mixture, which is then heated, to thereby form an interlaminar compound. Then, the interlaminar compound is subject to a treatment using an eliminating agent, leading to production of luminous inorganic compound particles adhered to the carbon material.
