A reducing water purification material having a reducing iron-based precipitate selected from green rust, iron ferrite, reducing iron hydroxide, and a mixture thereof. A wastewater treatment process having steps of adding a reducing iron compound to wastewater, leading the wastewater to which the reducing iron compound is added to a reaction tank and forming a precipitate, separating the formed precipitate by a solid-liquid separation to obtain a sludge, and alkalinizing all or a portion of the separated sludge to form an alkaline sludge followed by returning to the reaction tank, wherein in the precipitation step, the wastewater to which the reducing iron compound is added and the alkaline sludge are mixed and are allowed to react in a non-oxidizing atmosphere under alkaline condition to form a reducing iron compound precipitate as the precipitate, thereby incorporating contaminants in the precipitate to remove the contaminants from the wastewater.

An intake device for an internal combustion engine includes a throttle body () that forms an intake passage (). A throttle valve () is arranged within the intake passage. A pipe member () is connected to the throttle body, wherein the pipe member forms a communication passage () communicating with the intake passage. An engagement device () is provided between the throttle body and the pipe member. The engagement device includes at least one engagement protrusion () and at least one engagement recess (M). When the engagement protrusion and the engagement recess are engaged with each other, detachment of the throttle body and the pipe member from each other is restricted. The assembly process is simplified by a lack of separate components such as clamps and bolts, relying instead upon a typical snap-fit connection.

Intake device for an internal combustion engine

In an air intake apparatus of an internal combustion engine, disassembling a surge tank made of resin with an intake air control valve into divided pieces, and bonding the divided pieces by vibration adhesion, for preventing the intake air control valve from breaking or characteristic thereof from changing during the vibration adhesion or for ensuring a sealing property between parts, an inner space in the surge tank is divided into first and second chambers by providing a horizontal partitioning wall within the surge tank. The surge tank is divided into a middle piece made of resin and formed integrally with the partitioning wall, a lower piece made of resin, and an upper piece also made of resin, and these three pieces are bonded by the vibration adhesion to form the surge tank. A communicating hole for making the first chamber communicate with the second chamber is formed in the partitioning wall, and a valve body for opening and closing the communication hole is provided in the communicating hole. A drive device for opening and closing the valve body is provided on the middle piece.

An accelerator pedal device has a bracket having a pin, a pedal arm turnably supported by the bracket through the pin, a return spring arranged to surround the pin for biasing the pedal arm, and an accelerator-opening sensor mounted on the bracket. An engaging portion is disposed at the leading end of the pedal arm, a rotor of the accelerator-opening sensor and the engaging portion are associated through the crank mechanism. As a driver depresses the accelerator pedal, the pedal arm turns on the pin, by the action of the crank mechanism engaging with the engaging portion it the leading end of the pedal arm, the rotor of the accelerator-opening sensor is rotated, and a voltage signal according to the depression stroke is outputted from the accelerator-opening sensor.

The invention is directed to an ignition coil for an internal combustion engine which includes a first case which has at least an opening portion at its bottom, a primary winding and a secondary winding which are received in the first case, a secondary terminal which is electrically connected to the secondary winding and placed within the first case in the vicinity of the opening portion at the bottom of the first case, and a second case which has a cover portion connected with the opening portion at the bottom of the first case, and which has a cylindrical portion extending from the cover portion. The ignition coil further includes a high-tension terminal which has a shaft held on a central axis of the cylindrical portion of the second case, and which is electrically connected to the secondary terminal. Then, a synthetic resin is filled in the first case and the second case connected therewith so as to fix and insulate the primary winding, secondary winding, secondary terminal and high-tension terminal. The first case may have a second opening portion at its one side, so that the synthetic resin is filled into the first case and the second case, through the second opening portion.

A process is disclosed for the production of connected microgel particles. According to the process, starting microgel particles having particle sizes of 100-0.01 .mu.m and a particle size distribution whose standard deviation is not greater than 100% of a mean particle size of the starting microgel particles are dispersed in a matrix component. The starting microgel particles are soaked with a monomer. The monomer is then polymerized, whereby the starting microgels are connected together. Also disclosed is an article comprising a base material and a layer of such connected microgel particles formed on a surface of the base material.

The invention is directed to an ignition coil for use in an internal combustion engine. The ignition coil includes a core and a bobbin in which at least a part of the core is received. Primary and secondary windings are wound around the bobbin. A secondary terminal is mounted on the bobbin, and a high-tension terminal is mounted on a housing. The secondary terminal is formed in a Y-letter shape with its body portion and a pair of leg portions. The high-tension terminal is formed with a recess, in which the leg portions of the secondary terminal are received. Each of the leg portions has a projection which is biased to contact with the inner surface of the recess.

The present invention provides a throttle valve opening degree sensor for detecting the opening degree of a throttle valve used for an internal combustion engine wherein a rotor shaft capable of interlocking with a throttle valve has a cylindrical covering portion having an outer circumferential cylindrical body at the outer end, the cylindrical covering portion covering the outer end of the bearing portion exposed to the base portion of the housing and having an elastic engaging portion having cross-like splitted grooves at the top end and a square outer periphery, and the rotor has a square engaging hole capable of fitting the elastic engaging portion, the elastic engaging portion being fitted to and elastically abutted against the engaging hole thereby securing the rotor to the rotor shaft. According to the throttle valve opening degree sensor, it can prevent the deviation of the rotor from the center and enhance the accuracy for the attaching position, and provide water proofness and dust proofness for the outer end of the rotor shaft and the bearing portion.

A flow rate control valve reduced in size and improved in mountability has a structure comprising a communicating passage which has openings on opposite ends and includes valve seats which surround the respective openings, an outflow port which communicates with an intermediate portion of the communicating passage, a first valve disk disposed at a corresponding position to one of the valve seats, a diaphragm connected to the first valve disk, a diaphragm chamber formed on one side of the diaphragm, a spring which urges the first valve disk in the valve closing direction, a second valve disk disposed at a corresponding position to the other valve seat, an electromagnetic solenoid which opens/closes the second valve disk, a valve chamber formed around the second valve disk, and an inflow port which communicates with the diaphragm chamber and the valve chamber.

An ignition coil for internal combustion engines including a primary core formed in a shape of rectangular ring and fixed on the inner peripheral edge of the bottom wall of a casing, a secondary core having a main portion of which is formed in a shape of straight beam, a primary winding assembly having a primary bobbin formed on the main portion of the secondary core, and a secondary winding assembly. Both winding assemblies are housed in an internal space of the casing, and a synthetic resin is filled in the internal space of the casing and cured. In the side wall of the casing is formed a rectangular opening portion which opens at the top end; and on the primary bobbin a rectangular closing member is formed integrally therewith. When the opening portion of the casing is closed with the closing member, both end faces in the longitudinal direction of the secondary core formed in the primary bobbin face to the inside peripheral surfaces of the primary core. A permanent magnet with its one face in contact with one end face of the secondary core is supported on the primary bobbin, while the other face of the permanent magnet is in contact with the primary core.

An exhaust gas flow control valve for an internal combustion engine comprises a body, a diaphragm actuator and a bracket. The body is equipped with an exhaust passage and a valve member arranged in the exhaust passage. The bracket is equipped with an actuator mounting seat for mounting the diaphragm actuator and a body mounting seat connected to the body. The diaphragm actuator is equipped with a casing connected to the actuator mounting seat of the bracket, a diaphragm cased in the casing and a rod protruding from the diaphragm and out of the casing for actuating the valve member in accordance with the action of the diaphragm. Between the actuator mounting seat of the bracket and the diaphragm of the diaphragm actuator, moreover, there is formed an insulating layer for insulating the heat to be transferred to the diaphragm.

A motor-driven throttle valve control device for an automobile having an auto-drive function for keeping a running speed of the automobile constant, including a throttle shaft for opening and closing a throttle valve by a rotation thereof; a spring for rotating the throttle shaft in a direction to open the throttle valve; a limiter for limiting a maximum opening angle of the throttle shaft against a biasing force of the spring; a first operating device for rotating the limiter around the throttle shaft in response to an operational amount of depression of an accelerator device of the automobile; a second operating device for limiting an opening angle of the throttle shaft within a range between the maximum opening angle defined by the limiter and a full closed angle of the throttle valve; a motor for rotating the second operating device around the throttle shaft; a third operating device for opening the throttle shaft beyond the maximum opening angle defined by the limiter; and a connecting device for connecting the third operating device to the motor while the auto-drive function of the automobile is activated; whereby an opening angle of the throttle shaft is adjusted by the motor within the range equal to or less than the maximum rotating angle defined by the operational amount of the accelerator device while the auto-drive function is not activated, and an opening angle of the throttle shaft is adjusted by the motor irrespective of the operational amount of the accelerator device so as to keep the running speed of the automobile constant while the auto-drive function is activated.
