A vehicular lighting device includes a scanning light source. The scanning light source includes a semiconductor light source, and scans the output light of the semiconductor light source in a forward region ahead of the lighting device. A lighting circuit changes the light amount of the semiconductor light source in multiple levels in synchronization with the scanning of the scanning light source.

Vehicular lighting device

A vehicle headlamp includes: a lamp outer casing; a lamp unit including: a light source unit having a light source that emits light, a reflector and a heat sink; a stationary frame; a movable frame that is supported by the stationary frame to be rotatable about a rotating shaft; a lens unit supported by the movable frame and having a projection lens; a first aiming operation shaft that adjusts an optical axis in the lateral direction; and a second aiming operation shaft that adjusts the optical axis in the vertical direction. A focal point of the light reflected by the reflector is coincident with a center of the rotating shaft. The lens unit is moved relative to the stationary frame such that a distance between the focal point and the projection lens is constant. The heat sink is positioned on the outside of the lamp outer casing.

Vehicle headlamp

A ceramic board is formed in an almost rectangular shape and has one side surface of an outer peripheral surface formed as an abutting surface, which is caused to abut on positioning surfaces of a radiating member, and one surface in a vertical direction formed as a device disposing surface on which a semiconductor light emitting device is to be disposed. Predetermined conductive patterns are formed on the ceramic board. A light emitting portion has a semiconductor light emitting device. A pair of positive and negative planar electrode portions are formed on the ceramic board and connected to the semiconductor light emitting device through the conductive patterns. At least a part of the pair of planar electrode portions are set to be exposure regions exposed to the device disposing surface of the ceramic board and the exposure regions are positioned in portions other than a portion linked to the abutting surface in an outer peripheral portion of the device disposing surface.

Light emitting module and lighting device for vehicle

A light emitting module includes a semiconductor light emitting element disposed on a rectangular board, and a pair of plane-shaped electrode portions formed on the board and coupled to the semiconductor light emitting element. The pair of plane-shaped electrode portions is separated in first opposite directions, and a center of the semiconductor light emitting element is shifted from a center of the board in one of second opposite directions. End faces of the pair of plane-shaped electrode portions do not protrude in the one of the second opposite directions from an end face of the semiconductor light emitting element on a side facing toward the one of the second opposite directions. The first opposite directions are directions along which one pair of opposite sides of the board extend, and the second opposite directions are directions along which the other pair of opposite sides of the board extend.

Light emitting module and vehicle lamp

A light emitting apparatus includes a semiconductor light emitting element mounted on a circuit board; a lighting circuit part mounted on the circuit board; and a cover which covers the semiconductor light emitting element and the lighting circuit part. The lighting circuit part converts a voltage inputted from a power source into electromagnetic energy and propagates the converted electromagnetic energy to the semiconductor light emitting element as light emitting energy, and the cover transmits light from the semiconductor light emitting element.

Light emitting apparatus

A light source module includes a ceramic circuit board having a predetermined conductive pattern, a semiconductor light emitting element arranged on said ceramic circuit board and connected to the conductive pattern, and an attachment for power feeding bonded to the ceramic circuit board. The attachment for power feeding is provided with a power feeding part connected to an external power source, a plate-shaped part adjacent to a position opposed to an outer circumferential surface of the ceramic circuit board, and a power feeding terminal formed in plate shape and protruded from the plate-shaped part to a side of the ceramic circuit board. The top of the power feeding terminal is connected to a part of the conductive pattern with the top overlapped from a thickness direction. The power feeding terminal of the attachment for power feeding is fixed and connected to the conductive pattern of the ceramic circuit board.

Light source module and lighting device for a vehicle

A lamp module is constructed of a light source part made of a semiconductor light emitting element, and an optical member for distributing light emitted from the light source part. The light source part includes a surface-emitting laser element in which plural light emission parts are parallel arranged on a surface, a mask which is disposed on a surface of the surface-emitting laser element and includes plural mask openings for exposing the light emission parts, and fluorescent substances with which the mask openings are filled. By forming the light source part in a monolithic configuration, an array pitch of the plural light emission parts can be decreased, a light source can be miniaturized and also a lamp can be further miniaturized.

Lamp for vehicle

In a process in which a current is supplied from a switching regulator to multi-chip LEDs, the forward voltages of the LEDs are respectively detected in forward detecting circuits. The detected values are sent to a microcomputer. In the microcomputer, detected values when the multi-chip LEDs are initially turned on are stored as initial values. A first abnormality deciding value is set from the initial value. The detected values are sequentially stored as updated values. Second abnormality deciding values having conditions stricter than those of the first abnormality deciding value are sequentially set in accordance with the stored updated value. A read value is compared with the first abnormality deciding value or the read value is compared with the second abnormality deciding value to decide whether or not the abnormality of the LEDs is present. When it is decided that the LEDs are abnormal, an LED is turned on to inform a driver of the presence of the abnormality.

Lighting controller for lighting device for vehicle

A vehicle lighting apparatus includes a plurality of semiconductor light sources that are connected with each other in series, a switching regulator for supplying an electric power from a power source to each of said plurality of semiconductor light sources, forward voltage detection circuitry for detecting a forward voltage of each group by dividing said plurality of semiconductor light sources into groups; and failure detection circuitry for detecting the failure of the semiconductor light sources belonging to said each group based on the detected output of said each forward voltage detection circuitry. There are arranged between said groups a first voltage detection terminal and a second voltage detection terminal, mutually connected, as the voltage detection terminals connected to the forward voltage detection means to detect at least one of said groups, as well as a first failure detection wiring connecting the semiconductor light sources belonging to one group and said first voltage detection terminal and a second failure detection wiring connecting the semiconductor light sources belonging to the other group and said second voltage detection terminal.

A vehicular lamp used in an automobile includes: semiconductor light emitting elements for emitting light; a time measurement unit for measuring time in which the semiconductor light emitting elements continues to emit light; and a current supplying unit for supplying a supply current that increases as the time measured by the time measurement unit increases, to the semiconductor light emitting elements.

Vehicular lamp

A higher voltage out of a battery voltage applied to an ignition voltage terminal or a control voltage applied to a control voltage terminal is supplied to a switching regulator via a diode. Then, a supply of current to an LED in the switching regulator is controlled in compliance with the control voltage while using an input voltage as energy. When a PWM signal is input into a control voltage terminal as the control voltage, transistors are turned off and on, whereby an instruction to turn on the LED in a dimmed lighting mode is issued to the switching regulator. Then, a current that is smaller than that supplied in a full lighting mode is supplied to the LED.

Lighting control circuit for vehicle lighting equipment

A control unit for generating control signals in response to a communication signal fed from a vehicle, and a plurality of supply units for controlling a supply F of current to respective LEDs in compliance with the control signals generated by the control unit are provided. The control unit changes contents of the control signals in answer to the contents of the communication signal, i.e., to meet to changes of specifications when contents of the communication signal are different every type of a car or every vehicle, whereby standardization of circuit configurations can be achieved.

A light-emitting device in which a light-emitting element, such as an LED, and an electrostatic protection element for protecting the light-emitting element from electrostatic breakdown are connected in parallel. The light-emitting device is configured such that a connection wire member of the light-emitting element and a connection wire member of the electrostatic protection element are formed of the same material; and the connection wire member of the electrostatic protection element is smaller in diameter than the connection wire member of the light-emitting element. When the light-emitting element lapses into an open-circuit state, whereby an electric current which is originally intended to flow through the element unintentionally flows through the electrostatic protection element, the connection wire member is fused by an overcurrent. Consequently, occurrence of a failure of the electrostatic protection element in a short-circuit mode can be prevented.
