An electrical component () includes a bracket () and a connector () that is mountable to a mount hole (R) of a casing (R). The bracket () prevents loose movements of the connector () until immediately before the connector () is mounted into the mount hole (R) while permitting loose movements of the connector () in the course of mounting the connector () into the mount hole (R).

Connector mounting structure

A casing () is formed by insert molding using an inner portion () holding busbars () as an insert. The inner portionincludes an interlocking portion () to be hooked in a mold for molding the casing (), and is so positioned and supported in the mold by the presence of the interlocking portion () as to project from the inner wall surface of the mold. The interlocking portion () is formed to project toward the inside of the casing () from the inner surface of the casing (). The casing () is formed by covering the inner portion () excluding the interlocking portion () by a resin portion ().

Insert-molded article and a production method for insert-molded article

A ground wire connection nut (A) and a cover-fixing nut (B) are molded in a case () at positions shifted in an axial direction thereof. Caps () are mounted on each nut (A,B). First and second receiving surfaces (A,B) are formed on each cap () at positions shifted in the axial direction. First and second positioning portions (A,B) are formed in a die () and contact the first and second receiving surfaces (A,B) respectively. An axial length of each positioning portion () is set according to the specified position of each nut (A,B). The same kind of the caps () can be used commonly for the nuts (A,B) to reduce the manufacturing cost.

A first electronic control unit () provided with a printed circuit board () and a second electronic control unit (E) having pressure sensors () mounted therein can be assembled with each other. Intermediate connectors () are mounted in the first electronic control unit (), and terminal fittings () are accommodated therein. Each terminal fitting () is provided with a board-side connecting portion () to be soldered to the printed circuit board () and a resilient contact piece () to be resiliently brought into contact with a terminal portion () of the pressure sensor ().

A probe ( ) has a holder ( ) with a small-diameter portion- ( ) and a stepped surface ( ) at a base end of the small diameter portion ( ). The stepped surface ( ) is recessed over the entire circumference of a base end of a small-diameter portion ( ) to form a groove ( ) and an inner corner of the groove ( ) is rounded. The probe ( ) is mounted by resiliently pressing the stepped surface ( ) against the edge of a mount hole ( ) in a base plate ( ) of a brake shoe ( ). A bending force acts on the small-diameter portion ( ) of the holder ( ) due to the sliding contact of the brake drum ( ). However, the rounded portion ( ) at the bottom of the groove ( ) avoids a stress concentration on an inner corner of the base end of the small diameter portion ( ).

Wear-detecting probe and a braking element provided therewith

A wear detection probe for detection of wear of a braking member is mounted in or adjacent to the braking member. The wear detection probe includes a holder having a detection wire in a wiring path. The detection wire has a folded portion, and two portions extending from the folded portion in a direction substantially parallel to the surface of the brake rotor. An apex of the folded portion of the detection wire is nearer than the straight portions to the wear surface of the holder, so that after a predetermined amount of wear, the folded portion is broken without breaking the straight portions. The probe is compact, and the wire remains securely in position during use.

Wear detection probe for a braking member

The present invention is directed to a wear detection probe in which the deflection of a folded portion of an electric detection wire is suppressed so as to be able to cut the folded portion of the wire in a secure position. A truncated cone is formed at the edge part of a retention member, and a groove extending in a diametric direction is cut at the edge part. A supporting protrusion is formed by traversing the groove, and the electric detection wire is retained in a position in which the folded portion is securely mounted on the supporting protrusion which extends from both openings from which the electric wire extends. The wire is sandwiched by both side walls of the groove and the side walls operate as regulating walls so that when the folded portion of the electric wire begins to be exposed and contacts a brake drum, the folded portion will not be pulled out by a deflecting force in a sidewards direction. The deflection is suppressed by the regulating walls, and the folded portion is retained in a secure position on the supporting protrusion. The folded portion is therefore gradually cut in a secure mode.

Wear detection probe for a brake element

A cable connector combination wherein the cable has an electrically conductive core and an extra-thick insulating sheath. There is a terminal fitting which includes a wire barrel and an insulator barrel. The former grips the exposed length of bare wire core and the latter grips a reduced diameter portion of the sheath. The exposed length is formed by stripping the insulation completely from one end, and the reduced diameter portion of the sheath is formed by stripping part of the insulation from the cable, preferably at a point adjacent the exposed length. The reduced diameter is the same as the outer diameter of a normal sized cable and, therefore, will fit easily and readily into the standard insulator barrel. Thus, no special fittings are required, and the abrasion-resistant cables can be handled along with all of the others. An apparatus for carrying out the method is also disclosed.

Abrasion detecting probe for a brake pad

A wear detection probe for a braking element includes a holder with opposed front and rear ends. A portion of the holder near the front end is configured to retain a detection wire. Thus, after sufficient wear of the brake and the holder, the detection wire will be broken to produce a signal indicative of brake wear. The holder includes two arrangement grooves extending from the abradeable portion of the detection wire to the rear end of the holder. The wear detection probe further includes a rib. The extreme rear end of the rib may include a slot, and a heat shrinkable tube may surround the wires and engage partly in the slot.

To prevent a detecting electric wire (20) of a brake pad from moving, a stopper member (12) is provided in a holder (10). Two wires (22) extending a wire holder, are made to intersect close to the posterior of a stopper (12), and are maintained in this intersecting state by a cable tie (13). The stopper member (12) engages the intersecting portion (23) of the wire (20) in a posterior direction, thereby preventing the wire (20) from moving in an anterior direction even under a strong pulling force from the rotor R.

A method of producing products wherein semi-finished products are supported between a pair of elongate, parallel carriers. Each semi-finished product is shaped by pressing the product into a finished form. Also, each semi-finished product is connected to at least one of the carriers by a deformable element. Deformation of the deformable element allows the semi-finished product to approach or move away from that carrier. Thus, when the semi-finished product is shaped by pressing, deformation of the deformable element allows the semi-finished product to move relative to that carrier so that unwanted tensions are relieved. Accordingly, the semi-finished product does not twist undesirably.

A female terminal fitting 20 is provide to prevent solder portions from shaking in a connector for a printed circuit board. The female terminal fitting 20 includes a connection portion 21, a board connection piece 22 continuously connected with the rear end of the connection portion 21 and a solder portion 22A formed at the end of the board connection piece 22. A pair of elastic holding portions 23 extend from opposite sides of the rear end of the connection portion 21. When the terminal fitting 20 is mounted into a terminal cavity 11, the elastic holding portions 23 are brought into contact with the inner walls of the terminal cavity 11 by their elastic force. As a result, displacement of the terminal fitting 20 and shaking of the solder portion 22B can be prevented.

Connector for a printed circuit board or an electric or electronic device

A wear detection probe is provided for a braking element with a holder to prevent the displacement of a detection wire. The holder 11 is formed with an arrangement path assembly 14 including two through paths 15F, 15R arranged one before the other, a communication path 16 and two exposed paths 17L, 17R arranged side by side. A wear detection probe 10 is assembled by fitting a detection wire 18 into the arrangement path assembly 14. The arrangement path assembly 14 has bent paths, and the detection wire 18 is caught at the bent portions of the arrangement path assembly 14 even if a pulling force acts thereon. Thus, there is no likelihood that the detection wire 18 is displaced.

A mount construction of a wear detection probe for a brake pad is provided which is capable of absorbing an image caused by a contact of the wear detection probe with a rotor. Coil springs 42 are mounted on bolts 41 used to mount a bracket 30 on a support base 12, and the bracket 30 is held in close contact with the support base 12 by biasing forces thereof. When the probe 20 is brought into contact with a rotor upon the application of braking, the coil springs 42 are compressively deformed, thereby absorbing an impact caused by a contact of the rotor 10 and the probe 20. The mount construction of the probe 20 has an enhanced reliability by absorbing the impact on the probe 20.
