A projection lens, which is a projection lens to be attached to a projection apparatus body having an electro-optical device, includes: a first focus optical system; a first holding portion that has an attachment portion and on which light along a first optical axis extending in first directions is incident; and an adjustment frame that holds the first focus optical system. When one of the first directions is defined as a first A direction and the other of the first directions is defined as a first B direction, the first focus optical system is positioned further in the first A direction than the attachment portion, and light along the first optical axis travels in the first B direction. The adjustment frame is movable in the first directions relative to the first holding portion.

Projection lens

A projection apparatus capable of, when an image input from an external device and an OSD image are rotated by rotation of a projection lens, performing rotation correction suitable for the respective images is provided. A projection apparatus () includes a housing; a projection lens () that has a holder and that is rotatably attached to the housing; a first rotation position detection unit (A) and a second rotation position detection unit (B) that detect rotation states of the holder; a DMD (B) that outputs, to the projection lens (), a composite image of a projection image output from an external device and an OSD image including a character output from an internal memory; and a control unit that performs rotation correction on the OSD image and that does not perform rotation correction on the projection image based on detection results of the first rotation position detection unit (A) and the second rotation position detection unit (B) when the holder of the projection lens () rotates.

Projection device having rotation lock mechanism and projection lens having rotation lock mechanism

An object of the present invention is to provide a projection apparatus capable of appropriately performing control relating to rotation of a projection lens. A projection apparatus according to a first aspect of the present invention includes a housing; a power supply; a control unit; and a projection lens attached to the housing, the projection lens having a holder, a detection unit that detects a rotation state of the holder, and a locking mechanism unit that brings rotation of the holder into a locked state or an unlocked state. The locking mechanism unit does not bring rotation of the holder into the locked state when a rotation state of the holder is other than a specific state. The specific state is a rotation state in which the locking mechanism unit is capable of bringing rotation of the holder into the locked state. When rotation of the holder is not brought into the locked state, the control unit disables an operation relating to the locked state or an operation of turning off the power supply.

A projection lens has a first rotary tube, a first fixed tube at which the first rotary tube is rotatably mounted, a first protrusion portion that is provided at the first rotary tube and that protrudes from the first rotary tube, and a first abutment surface that is provided at the first fixed tube and that abuts upon the first protrusion portion. The projection lens includes a first engaging portion at which the first protrusion portion and the first abutment surface include first engaging portions that face each other in a direction of a first incidence-side optical axis and a first pressing portion that presses the first protrusion portion against the first abutment surface.

An object of the present invention is to provide a projection apparatus capable of appropriately performing control relating to a rotation state and/or a movement state of a projection lens. A projection apparatus according to an aspect of the present invention includes a housing; a light source; a control unit; and a projection lens attached to the housing, the projection lens having a holder, a detection unit that detects a rotation state of the holder, an emission optical system, and a locking mechanism unit that brings rotation of the holder into a locked state or an unlocked state. The projection lens is displaceable between a first position at which a rotation state of the holder is a housed state in which the emission optical system faces the housing and a second position at which the emission optical system does not face the housing by rotating the holder. The second position includes an upper position at which the emission optical system faces an upper side in a vertical direction. The control unit turns off the light source when a rotation state of the holder is the first position. The control unit turns on the light source when the rotation state of the holder is at the upper position. When the light source is turned on in the housed state in which the emission optical system faces the housing, the light emitted from the emission optical system hits the housing, and the temperatures of the projection lens and the housing may increase, which may cause an adverse effect. However, when the rotation state is the housed state, the control unit turns off the light source, thereby preventing the adverse effect.

There is provided a projection lens that is mounted on a housing of a projection device including an electro-optical element. The projection lens comprises an optical system through which light passes, a second holding unit through which light parallel to a second optical axis passes and which is moved rotationally with respect to the housing, a third holding unit through which light parallel to a third optical axis obtained from bending of the second optical axis passes and which is moved rotationally with respect to the second holding unit, an electric drive unit that electrically controls rotational movement of the second holding unit with respect to the housing, rotational movement of the third holding unit with respect to the second holding unit, or drive of the optical system, and a cover part that covers the electric drive unit.

There is provided a projection lens that is mounted on a housing of a projection device including an electro-optical element. The projection lens includes a first holding frame through which light emitted from the housing passes, a second reflective part that refracts an optical axis of light emitted from the first holding frame and includes a pair of side surfaces facing each other, and a second holding frame that holds the second reflective part and includes a pair of first holes provided at positions corresponding to the pair of side surfaces; and each of the pair of side surfaces has a gap between itself and the second holding frame.

An object of the present invention is to provide a projection apparatus capable of appropriately performing control relating to rotation of the projection lens. A projection apparatus according to a first aspect of the present invention includes a housing; a power supply; and a projection lens attached to the housing, the projection lens having a holder and a locking mechanism unit that brings rotation of the holder into a locked state or an unlocked state. Rotation of the holder is in the locked state when the power supply has been turned on. With the first aspect, since the power is turned on in a state in which the projection lens is not rotatable, the locked state can be safely unlocked by user's intention and the holder can be rotated.

A projection lens that is mounted on a housing of a projection device including an electro-optical element includes a first holding unit which is connected to the housing and through which light parallel to a first optical axis serving as an optical axis corresponding to luminous flux incident from the housing passes, a second holding unit through which light parallel to a second optical axis obtained from bending of the light parallel to the first optical axis passes and which is rotated with respect to the first holding unit in a rotatable range less than 360&#xb0;, a first rotation control unit that controls rotation of the second holding unit, and a first electric drive unit. The first rotation control unit is provided on a first outer peripheral surface of one of the first holding unit and the second holding unit. The first electric drive unit is provided on a second outer peripheral surface of the other of the first holding unit and the second holding unit. The first rotation control unit and the first electric drive unit are in a relationship where the first rotation control unit and the first electric drive unit overlap with each other in an extending direction of the first optical axis, and the first rotation control unit and the first electric drive unit are spaced apart from each other in the rotatable range.

A projection apparatus having a light modulation element includes a main body; an optical unit that is rotatably supported by the main body and includes a projection optical system for projecting the spatially modulated light onto the projection surface, a first rotation member rotatably supported to the main body and a second rotation member rotatably supported to the first rotation member; a first sensor; a second sensor; a controller; and a regulation mechanism, and the regulation mechanism includes a moving member that is movable between a regulation position for regulating the rotation and a regulation release position for releasing the regulating of the rotation, and fixes the moving member at the regulation position in a case where the controller determines that the first rotation member and the second rotation member are in the predetermined specific rotation state.

A projection lens has lens holding frames that hold lenses. In a case where an image forming panel is disposed to be shifted with respect to an optical axis of the projection lens, an increase in temperature of a first part on a side to which the image forming panel is shifted with respect to the optical axis L, is greater than that of a second part on the opposite side. A hollow structure, which makes the first partand the second partcommunicate with each other, has a porous layer and is filled with a heat storage medium. By circulating the heat storage medium through the inside of the hollow structure, the first part is cooled, and the second part is heated. Therefore, temperature distribution in the circumferential direction of the lens barrel becomes uniform, and deterioration in performance of the projected image is suppressed.
