A sheet-feeding system includes a holding part which holds an end portion of a sheet, a nozzle part for discharging an adhesive agent for joining sheets to each other, and a nozzle moving unit which supports the nozzle part such that the nozzle part is made movable within a region including both temporarily holding parts, in which when a sheet joining condition is established where a remaining amount of the sheet on one original sheet roll becomes equal to or below a predetermined remaining amount, an end portion of the sheet on the other original sheet roll is conveyed to the temporarily holding part by the holding part and, thereafter, the nozzle part is moved to the temporarily holding part, and the adhesive agent is discharged to the end portion of the sheet from the nozzle part.

Sheet-feeding system and sheet-feeding method

A sheet conveying device includes: a holding mechanism configured to hold suction members; and a driving device including a rotary shaft which is rotatable about a second axis parallel to the first axis and a connecting mechanism configured to connect the rotary shaft and suction members to each other; and a support mechanism configured to support the holding mechanism and the drive device. The connecting mechanism is connected to the suction members in a state where the suction members are movable in a radial direction of the circle about the first axis. The support mechanism supports the holding mechanism and the drive device such that the holding mechanism and the drive device are relatively movable from each other in a direction orthogonal to the first axis.

An absorbent article processing device includes a cutter roll and an anvil roll. The cutter roll includes a roll main body; a blade protruding in a radial direction in a first angular range of a part of a circumferential direction of the roll main body; a first bearer protruding in the radial direction in a second angular range of a part of the circumferential direction including at least the first angular range and being in contact with the anvil roll, and being cut out in an angular range excluding the second angular range at a first end portion in an axial direction of the roll main body; and a second bearer provided around the entire circumference or a part of the circumferential direction and being in contact with the anvil roll at the second end portion in an axial direction of the roll main body.

Processing device for absorbent article

When a remaining amount of a sheet on one original sheet roll is equal to or less than a predetermined remaining amount, a pair of holding pads is brought into a first posture where holding surfaces are opened, and the holding surface of one holding pad is pressed to a joining end portion from the outside of the original sheet roll in a radial direction of another original sheet roll. Further, the holding pad is moved such that the joining end portion is separated toward the outside of the original sheet roll in the radial direction. Further, the posture of the pair of holding pads is changed into a second posture where the holding surfaces approach each other, and the joining end portion is conveyed to a joining part in a state where the joining end portion is sandwiched between the holding surfaces of the pair of holding pads.

A transportation device includes a transportation-side holder that holds a roll. A roll mounting section, a sheet supply device including a supporter that holds the roll in a state where the sheet is continuously feedable, and an intermediate processing device that performs processing set in advance on the roll are disposed within a moving range of the transportation-side holder. A controller controls the transportation device such that the transportation-side holder holds the roll on the roll mounting section, and the roll held by the transportation-side holder is conveyed to the supporter of the sheet supply device through the intermediate processing device.

The method also includes moving the second opening-closing portion such that it extends from an upstream-side edge of the first opening-closing portion toward an upstream side of a movement direction, during a time period during which the upstream-side edge of the first opening-closing portion overlaps the distribution port. A roll conveyance device includes a transportation device including a roll holding shaft extending in a predetermined direction from a distal section of an arm to hold a roll such that the roll holding shaft is inserted into a core member of the roll; and a mounting section within a moving range of the roll holding shaft, the mounting section allowing the roll to be mounted in a state in which both axial ends of the core member of roll are open. The transportation device is configured to mount the roll on the mounting section, the roll holding shaft is to be pulled out from the core member of the roll mounted on the mounting section to a first side of an axial direction of the core member, and the roll holding shaft is to be inserted into the core member from a second side of the axial direction.

A sheet delivery system includes: an end section detector which detects a position of an end section of a sheet; an end section conveying apparatus which holds the end section of the sheet and which conveys the end section of the sheet to a joining unit; a roll driving motor which rotationally drives a standby-side original material roll around a central axis thereof; and a suction roller which is capable of coming into rolling contact with an outer peripheral surface of the standby-side original material roll, and which includes an outer peripheral surface capable of suctioning the end section of the sheet in order to separate the end section of the sheet from the standby-side original material roll. A transport unit includes: a transporting device that turns a pad 90 degrees while the pad rotates from a receiving position to a transfer position; and first and second receiving rollers that sandwich a sheet and an absorbent body between a holding surface and the respective receiving rollers at the transfer position. The holding surface includes first and second sloped surfaces that are aligned along a pad rotating shaft which extends at the transfer position. The first and second receiving rollers have outer diameters decreasing from proximal ends to distal ends and are disposed such that the distal ends are positioned on sides of first and second ends of the holding surface, respectively. The first and second receiving rollers are disposed so as to sandwich the sheet and the absorbent body between the first and second sloped surfaces and the first and second receiving rollers, respectively.

A holding region includes opposite skirt portions in a revolution direction of a holding pad each of which has at least opposite ends in a specific direction that extend along a first curve when the holding pad is at a first revolution position. A joining unit includes: a suction holding member having a suction surface configured to suction an end section of a sheet; a moving mechanism configured to move the suction surface toward an intermediate section of a sheet of a delivery-side original material roll along a path set in advance so that tension is applied to the sheet; and a regulating mechanism that is configured to switch between a regulated state in which a movement of the end section of the sheet with respect to the suction holding member due to the tension is regulated and an allowable state in which the movement of the end section of the sheet with respect to the suction holding member is allowed. A holding region includes a first area bearing on at least part of one and at least part of the other of opposite skirt portions in a revolution direction of a holding pad, the first area extending along a first curve, when the holding pad is at a first revolution position. The holding region formed in the holding pad includes a second area bearing on at least part of one side portion and at least part of the other side portion in the revolution direction of the holding pad when the holding pad is at a second revolution position that extends along a second curve. A sheet delivery system includes: a joining unit configured to join, to an intermediate section of a sheet being delivered from a delivery-side original material roll, an end section of a sheet of a standby-side original material roll; and an operation robot configured to retrieve the end section of the sheet from the standby-side original material roll and convey the end section of the sheet to the joining unit. The sheet delivery system is configured to set, in advance, a sheet retrieval position at which the sheet is retrieved from each of the original material rolls, for each of the original material rolls. The operation robot is configured to convey the end section of the sheet from each of the sheet retrieval positions to the joining unit.
