There is provided a battery charger configured to charge a battery including a battery terminal. The battery charger includes a receiving portion in a form of a recess, and a charging terminal provided in the receiving portion. The battery is attachable to and detachable from the receiving portion. The receiving portion includes a holding portion configured to selectively hold the battery in the receiving portion at one of a first posture and a second posture different from the first posture. When the battery is in the first posture, the battery terminal is in contact with the charging terminal to allow the battery to be charged. When the battery is in the second posture, the battery terminal is separated from the charging terminal.

A cradle includes: a base portion; and a guide portion. The base portion is configured to hold a printer to which one of a battery and a converter is selectively and detachably attached. The printer is driven by DC power supplied from the one of the battery and the converter to perform printing operation. The converter includes: a main body portion; and a wiring harness. The wiring harness has a first end and a second end. The first end is connected to the main body portion. The converter is configured to convert AC power supplied through the second end into DC power to be supplied to the printer through the first end. The guide portion is provided at the base portion. The guide portion is configured to guide the wiring harness in a case where the converter is attached to the printer.

A printing apparatus having a body, a cover, a pair of supporting parts, a locking member, and an engaging portion, is provided. At least one of the pair of supporting parts is a movable supporting part. The locking member arranged on the movable supporting part is movable between a locked position and an unlocked position. The engaging portion arranged in a container compartment engageable with the locking member being at the locked position. The locking member at the unlocked position when the cover is open is separated from the engaging portion. In a process where the cover is moved to be closed, a protrusive portion in the cover contacts to be pressed against a contact portion in the locking member, causing the locking member to shift from the unlocked position to the locked position to be engaged with the engaging portion.

A roll holding apparatus includes a pair of holding members and an advancing/retracting support device. The pair of holding members is configured to be inserted into an inner periphery of a print-receiving paper roll. The pair of holding members is configured to rotatably support the print-receiving paper roll. The advancing/retracting support device is configured to support the holding member to switch an advancing/retracting state of the holding member into a first state, second state, or a third state. A tip end portion of the holding member protrudes to a first position in the first state. The tip end portion lies inward along an axial direction of the print-receiving paper roll than the first position in the second state. The tip end portion lies outward along the axial direction from the first position in the third state.

The first rotating member has a first part including a restricting portion configured to restrict the rotation of the first rotating member. A printing apparatus includes a first supporting portion, a second supporting portion, and an adjusting mechanism. The adjusting mechanism includes a first rack, a second rack, a pinion gear, and a third supporting portion configured to movably support the first and second racks and configured to rotatably support the pinion gear. The third supporting portion includes first to fourth ribs. The first and second racks are respectively movable in first and second areas in an axial direction. The first area and the second area define one end and another end. A printing device includes a platen roller, a pair of bearings, and a holder including a pair of fitting portions to which the bearings are fitted. The bearings rotatably support a rotational shaft of the platen roller. Each bearing includes a small-diameter portion, a large-diameter portion coaxially connected to the small-diameter portion, and a protrusion provided at an outer circumferential surface of the small-diameter portion. A printing equipment housing box includes an equipment housing portion, an outer wall, and a cover. The equipment housing portion houses printing equipment. The outer wall includes a paper discharge port penetrating through the outer wall. The paper discharge port discharges, to the outside of the printing equipment housing box, a medium printed by the printing equipment in the equipment housing portion, The through hole extends in a first direction. The cover is provided between the outer wall and the equipment housing portion. The cover moves in a gap between the outer wall and the equipment housing portion in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction. The cover moves between a closed position and an open position along the inner side of the outer wall. The cover closes the paper discharge port in the closed position and the cover opens the paper discharge port in the open position.

A printing equipment housing box includes an equipment housing portion, an outer wall, a cover, a handle, a holding member, and a button. The equipment housing portion houses printing equipment. The outer wall includes a paper discharge port penetrating through the outer wall. The cover is provided between the outer wall and the equipment housing portion, and moves along the outer wall to close the paper discharge port in the closed position and to open the paper discharge port in the open position. The handle is provided on the cover and protrudes further to the outside than the outer wall. The holding member holds the cover in the open position. The button is connected to the holding member and is provided to be aligned with the handle along the outer wall. The button moves between a first position and a second position in a direction orthogonal to the outer wall.
