A piezoelectric gas jet generator includes a piezoelectric vibrator and upper and lower volume-varying chambers formed above and below the piezoelectric vibrator. In order to effectively use the movement of air supplied with the vibration of the piezoelectric vibrator, plural upper supply pipes and lower supply pipes communicating with the upper and lower volume-varying chambers and protruding from an upper housing and a lower housing are made to protrude in a direction parallel to the plane of the piezoelectric vibrator so as to be parallel to each other. Here, the upper supply pipes and the lower supply pipes are located at different planar positions.

A pump includes a diaphragm vibrated by a piezoelectric element and a case. An inlet orifice and an outlet orifice are disposed on an outer surface of the case. An inlet path connects the inlet orifice to an inlet and an outlet path connects the outlet orifice to an outlet. A nonreciprocal circuit element includes a magnetic plate, a common electrode on a first surface of the magnetic plate, and first, second, and third central conductors each including a pair of divisions. The three central conductors extend from the common electrode, are bent along the magnetic plate towards a second surface of the magnetic plate, and cross one another on the second surface of the magnetic plate at a predetermined angle relative to one another. The first and second central conductors are connected to input and output terminals. The nonreciprocal circuit element satisfies the relationship &#x3b8;&#x3e;&#x3b8;, where &#x3b8;is the angle between the divisions of the first central conductor and &#x3b8;is the angle between the divisions of the second central conductor, when the first central conductor is farther away from the magnetic plate than the second central conductor.

The invention is concerned with a process for synthesizing polyamic acid particles having functional groups at least on the surface from a tetracarboxylic anhydride and a diamine compound characterized by its comprising (a) a first step which comprises providing a tetracarboxylic anhydride and a diamine compound at least one of which has functional groups and preparing a first solution containing the tetracarboxylic anhydride and a second solution containing the diamine compound and (b) a second step which comprises mixing the first and second solutions under ultrasonic agitation to thereby precipitate polyamic acid microfine particles from the mixed solution. The invention is further concerned with a process which comprises imidating the above polyamic acid particles to provide polyimide microfine particles.

The present invention provides a porous ultrafine grinder including ultrafine abrasive grains of diamond or cubic boron nitride having an average grain size of 60 .mu.m or less, and a binder which can form a fused phase by fusion with the ultrafine abrasive grains under heating. The binder is a porous material having continuous pores, and the fused phase formed in the interface of the binder and the ultrafine abrasive grains has a thickness of 1.5 .mu.m or less.
