Well management includes receiving, from a user computing system, a simulation job request for simulating well management on the cloud computing system including compute nodes, and obtaining, for the simulation job request, search spaces for completion stage simulations, fracture stage simulations, and production stage simulations. Well management further includes orchestrating, using the search spaces, the completion stage simulations, the fracture stage simulations, and the production stage simulations on the cloud computing system to obtain at least one optional well plan, and sending the at least one optional well plan to the user computer system.

The method involves generating fracture parameters including a hydraulic fracture network of a fracture grid for each of the multiple wellbores based on wellsite data including microseismic events and a mechanical earth model, generating reservoir parameters including an updated mechanical earth model of a reservoir grid based on the wellsite data and the fracture parameters, generating integrated wellsite parameters including an integrated earth model by integrating the fracture parameters from the multiple wellbores with the reservoir parameters, and performing production operations at the multiple wellbores based on the integrated wellsite parameters.

A system and method for performing stimulation operations at a wellsite having a subterranean formation with of a reservoir therein is provided. The method involves performing reservoir characterization to generate a mechanical earth model based on integrated petrophysical, geomechanical and geophysical data. The method also involves generating a stimulation plan by performing well planning, a staging design, a stimulation design and a production prediction based on the mechanical earth model. The stimulation design is optimized by repeating the well planning, staging design, stimulation design, and production prediction in a feedback loop until an optimized stimulation plan is generated.

A system and method for performing stimulation operations at a wellsite having a subterranean formation with of a reservoir therein is provided. The method involves generating a plurality of quality indicators from a plurality of logs, and combining the plurality of quality indicators to form a composite quality indicator. A system and method for performing stimulation operations at a wellsite having a subterranean formation with of a reservoir therein is provided. The method involves generating a plurality of quality indicators from a plurality of logs, and combining the plurality of quality indicators to form a composite quality indicator. The composite quality indicator may be combined with a stress log to form a combined stress and composite quality indicator, the combined stress and composite quality indicator comprising a plurality of blocks with boundaries therebetween. The method may further comprise identifying classifications for the plurality of blocks; defining stages along the combined stress and composite quality indicator based on the classifications; and selectively positioning perforations in select stages based on the classifications thereon.

The present invention relates to a user-guided dip picking method from electrical borehole images using Hough Transform. It includes defining a top and bottom reference curve, applying the Hough Transform to the borehole image limited by the top and bottom reference dips so that the Hough Transform space is restrained in the neighborhood of the reference dips. A 1D average trace representing the extrema of the 3D Hough parameter space for each depth is then computed and the extrema exceeding a given threshold are search in this 1D trace. The position in the 3D Hough space of an extremum represents a dip event.
