A drive device includes a motor and an inverter. A motor axis is parallel to an output axis. The inverter is located in a second direction orthogonal to a first direction with respect to the motor axis and extends in a third direction orthogonal to the first and second directions. When viewed from the first direction, a virtual straight line passing through the axes extends in the third direction. An inverter housing portion overlaps the axes when viewed from the second direction, and has a boundary wall on the virtual straight line side in the second direction. In the second direction, a distance between the boundary wall and the output axis is smaller than a distance between the boundary wall and the motor axis. A motor side connection portion has a portion closer to the side opposite to the output axis than the motor axis in the third direction.

Drive device

In a drive device, a housing includes a motor accommodation portion for accommodating a motor and an inverter accommodation portion for accommodating an inverter unit, the motor accommodation portion includes a tubular portion of a tubular shape extending in a first direction, the inverter accommodation portion includes a peripheral wall portion surrounding the inverter accommodation portion when viewed from a second direction and a plate portion extending from the tubular portion along one side in a direction perpendicular to the first direction and intersecting the second direction and continuous with the peripheral wall portion, and at least one of the pump and the oil cooler is fixed to the plate portion.

Drive device and vehicle

A motor unit according to an aspect of the present invention includes: a motor having a rotor that rotates about a motor axis and a stator located radially outside the rotor; an inverter that controls a current to be supplied to the motor; a housing body having a motor housing portion that houses the motor and an inverter housing portion that houses the inverter; and an inverter housing configured to cover an opening of the inverter housing portion while supporting the inverter. The housing body is provided with a first cooling path through which a first refrigerant for cooling the motor flows. The inverter housing is provided with a second cooling path through which a second refrigerant for cooling the inverter flows.

Motor unit

A motor unit according to an aspect of the present invention includes: a motor having a rotor that rotates about a motor axis and a stator located radially outside the rotor; an inverter that controls a current to be supplied to the motor; and a housing having a motor housing portion that houses the motor and an inverter housing portion that houses the inverter. The housing further includes an inverter housing provided with a top plate portion covering an opening of the inverter housing portion. The inverter is fixed to a back surface of the top plate portion, facing the inside of the inverter housing portion.

Provided is a motor unit including: a motor that rotates about a motor axis; a gear unit connected to the motor; an inverter that controls a current to be supplied to the motor; and a housing having a motor housing portion that houses the motor, an inverter housing portion that houses the inverter, and a gear housing portion that houses the gear unit. The inverter housing portion is supported by the motor housing portion and the gear housing portion. The housing includes a housing body that is a single member, the housing body including: a first wall portion that also serves as a side wall of each of the inverter housing portion and the motor housing portion; and a second wall portion that also serves as a side wall of each of the inverter housing portion and the gear housing portion.

A housing of a drive device includes a tubular portion, a side plate portion, a plate portion, and a peripheral wall portion. The tubular portion extends in a first direction and accommodates a motor. The side plate portion has a plate shape intersecting the first direction, and is at one end portion of the tubular portion in the first direction. The plate portion expands from the tubular portion along one of the first direction and a second direction perpendicular to the first direction. The peripheral wall portion surrounds an inverter accommodation portion that accommodates inverter when viewed from a third direction perpendicular to the first direction and the second direction, and is connected to the plate portion. Each of a pump and an oil cooler is at any of one end portion of the peripheral wall portion in the second direction, another end portion of the plate portion in the third direction, and another end portion of the side plate portion in the first direction.

A drive device includes a motor, an inverter to control current supplied to the motor, plate-shaped busbars that electrically connect the motor with the inverter, and a housing that accommodates the motor, the inverter, and the busbars. The housing includes a partition wall that partitions the inside of the housing into a motor housing and an inverter housing. The partition wall is provided with a through hole. Each busbar includes a motor connection terminal, an inverter connection terminal, a first portion extending from the motor connection terminal toward the through hole, and a second portion extending from the first portion to the inverter connection terminal through the through hole. At least two busbars overlap each other in a plate thickness direction inside the through hole.

A gear portion of a drive device is connected to a motor shaft. An oil passage through which oil to cool a motor flows includes a first oil passage, a second oil passage, a third oil passage, and a fourth oil passage. The first oil passage connects a gear accommodation portion and a pump accommodation portion. The second oil passage connects the pump accommodation portion and an oil cooler. The third oil passage connects the oil cooler and the fourth oil passage. The fourth oil passage connects the third oil passage and a motor accommodation portion. Each of the first oil passage, the second oil passage, and the third oil passage is in a first housing portion. The fourth oil passage is in a third housing portion.
